The ironic thing was, ACA was the plan insurance begrudgingly went along with, because even they knew what they had wasn't sustainable. And they immediately went back to screwing people when they could.

It’s becoming a bonus whenever a patient leaves the NHS alive.

Sadly, Emily’s case is not unique. According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.

Other studies report much higher figures, claiming the number of deaths from medical error to be as high as 440,000. The reason for the discrepancy is that physicians, funeral directors, coroners and medical examiners rarely note on death certificates the human errors and system failures involved. Yet death certificates are what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rely on to post statistics for deaths nationwide.

Private Schools can select who they enroll... so little Juan who doesn't speak English and little Timmy with his ADHD still have to be taught, but the private schools don't have to take them.

Medical Errors are going to be a problem private or public. That's not a good reason to keep denying the bottom 40% access to health care.

Final point. The reason why the whole "Medical Error" issue isn't a LOT worse is because medical providers are terrified of malpractice... So when I got my knee worked on- finally, after fighting with Cigna for a year - three people confirmed that they were cutting on the LEFT knee today.

The Republican Solution- Tort reform to reduce the amount of money people can collect when medical providers **** up.

Can always judge someone by the quality of their enemies.... For the Crazy Plutocratic Right, their enemies are government, unions and lawyers.

Anyone who might actually ensure a fair fight.

Fuhrer Hitler used the highly rated Dr. Ted Morrell, who was well versed in the cutting edge treatments of the 1930's and 40's, including the recently discovered Crystal Meth.

Yes, socialized medicine is bad but a for profit system which is lowering life expectancy, and addicting millions of Americans to pharmaceutical drugs, and then raising prices on life saving overdose antidotes, cycling people in and out of rehab to profit even more. Nothing is as profitable as addiction, and the USA has more drug addicts than any other nation in the world.
