The US/NATO is slowly losing its bargaining position in regard to a potential settlement agreement with Russia over the Ukraine conflict. It appears that Russia has drawn a red line about having a NATO Ukraine on its border, and continuing this war is only going to result in Russia occupying more territory. It seems to me that, unless NATO is willing to go to war with Russia, Russia will end up establishing a de facto neutral zone in Eastern Ukraine (including Odessa to protect its naval base in Crimea).

Leave to Zelenski.

Ultimately the ones fighting have to decide it. As long as that will to fight continues, the War will continue.

With the people of Russia giving Putin over 94% support, the US may find a way to bring about negotiations. l

The most likely scenario I can think of right now is that the US will force Zelensky to negotiate and then pretend it's Zelensky's choice.

Or, in fact many are saying now that America has already made the decision to stop sending money but are putting the blame on the R congress to cover up the Ukraine clusterfk that's gone sour.

Do the D's really want to get the money freed up for Biden. It's very hard to believe when it's obvious that both parties are mostly pro-war!

In any case, the election results in Russia are going to put Putin on a roll. Or more to the point, his military might starting a serious roll.

Sure Putin invaded but the west thought he was bluffing about his red line of Uke NATO membership.

Unlike the west's so-called "red lines" they fucked around and found out.

Now they either have to put NATO boots on the ground or accept what Putin demands as far as territory goes and no NATO for what he decides to let the Ukes keep for a peace.

What Putin lost by not taking Kiev quickly he's making up for by bleeding the Ukes white to where they are left with few options.

The west fell for the classic blunder.....Sorta.

US /NATO has currently zero options available .
End of .
The only way to change that might be to deflect from Ukraine into Russia itself .
Something like a few spectacular events across Russia and even something huge in Moscow .

I wonder if they will think of that ?
