Two Questions re: Ukraine

Yep. Those are his primary motivations, along with protecting current and future personal business deals. And he's convinced his rubes he's about "the killing".

The moral, empathetic, altruistic Donald Trump. Too funny.

1. Completely believable that an American would not want to see people dying needlessly. We are not soulless monsters, generally speaking.

2. We do not share your self serving assumption that just increasing "sanctions" is all that is needed to win this war. We think it will take years and massive casualties.

To us, the cost of this war, in lives, is not worth the complete lack of any gain, ie the russians are Gaining ground, not losing it.

That you need to talk shit about business deals, instead of being serious, is ... sad.

And don't forget Melania. Her concern about the children is so touching. Do you think she wrote a letter to Elon when he was cutting life saving aid from USAID?

Dumb. Russia did not start the war. The US did. Stop believing propaganda pushed by the state. You’re smarter than that.
Vladimir are you posting here again?

Well, that is a very optimistic and self serving opinion.

Let's look at how self serving it is.

1. It allows you to low ball, massively the cost of the policy you are pushing. It won't take years of death and blood to win the war, just some "sanctions".

2. It allows you to paint your enemies in an insanely bad light, since they refuse to easily help the target of aggression.

3. And it really needs to be said on the other side, it allows you to side step cost justify the death and bloodshed of your policy, the real cost that it would really take.

4. And it takes off the board the real chance of LOSING the war, if the fighting continues. Ukraine has to been feelling the strain and it would be no shock to anyone if their front collapsed at any time.
LONDON — Three goals are topping the agenda as several European leaders join Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet U.S. leader Donald Trump in Washington D.C.

Friday’s Alaska summit raised concerns in Europe that Trump might have softened his stance toward potential sanctions on Russia, and is now pushing for a permanent peace deal in Ukraine instead of an initial ceasefire — an approach more aligned with Moscow’s position.

EU officials still recall Zelenskyy’s incendiary appearance in the Oval office in February, when Trump and Vice President JD Vance criticized the Ukrainian leader in front of TV cameras for not being thankful enough for U.S. support throughout the war.

This time around, EU leaders are traveling to the United States on Monday looking to bring Washington on the side of Ukraine. The European cohort includes heads of state that are close to Trump, such as Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

“The objective is mainly to support Zelenskyy,” a senior EU diplomat, who did not want to be named due to the sensitivity of the topic, told CNBC on Sunday. “The idea is to make sure [Trump] has the same objectives as Europe.”

Kinda telling that European leaders are worried trump is more aligned with Putin than themselves, wouldn't you say?

How did biden do thst?

Or are you blaming trump?

Libs will never forgive Russia for giving up on communism.
I'll certainly never forgive trump for taking Putin's side in Helsinki.

BTW, one doesn't have to be a communist to be liberal any more than you have to be a fascist to be conservative.

That's part of it.

If Russia was still commie, and an American president sided with a commie russian leader, then dems would love that.

I remember the cold war and how you dems loved the soviets.
