Two Judges Rule that Abrego Garcia Should be Released - He's Still in Custody

Problem of Inadmissibility for People Who Have Lived in U.S. Without Permission

Despite the fact that your marriage might be valid, when an illegal immigrant seeks to become a legal resident, various issues come up. The biggest concern is how much time the non-citizen spent without legal documents in the United States, particularly if they entered the country without permission or inspection (for example, they crossed the border illegally).

As a foreign national living in the United States after crossing the border or otherwise gaining entry illegally, your marriage to a U.S. citizen might not, unfortunately, create a straightforward path to a U.S. green card (lawful permanent residence). It's true that spouses of U.S. citizens have a theoretical basis to apply for a green card. Nevertheless, U.S. immigration law has created various hurdles and penalties for people who either entered or stayed in the United States without permission.

While undocumented immigrants are legally allowed to marry U.S. citizens, whether or not that marriage will help the immigrant become a citizen of the U.S. is another thing. Once immigrants become married to U.S. citizens, they are classified as “immediate relatives” and are eligible to obtain a marriage-related green card. However, immigrants who entered the country illegally may face challenges on their path to citizenship.

Except he had documentation... a court ruled that he could not be deported back to El Salvador 10 years ago.

Here's the thing. You haven't given me a good reason why he should be denied a green card, other than he made Cheeto Hitler look bad.

No proof he was not.

Look, you racist fuckwad, you have to actually PROVE someone did something wrong before you can penalize them.

Shit, let's round up all the Trump supporters (after Trump ***** up the economy and Democrats get back in). I'm sure they are guilty of something!

But they proved their worth.

Illegal immigrants have proven their criminality.

Nope. Vast majority of undocumented immigrants work hard.

He had documentation, a deportation order. It’s being fullfilled now, he will go to a third country…unless the admin wants to move the court to amend the order since the rival gang is no longer a threat in El Salvador

He shouldn’t get a green card cause he came here illegally

But he was granted permission to stay AND he is married to an American, so he should.

Just remember, the resources that Trump is spending trying to save face in this case are money he's NOT spending going after real criminals.

No, he was not granted permission to stay, he could have been deported at any time. He was granted a bond, pending that action.

He was married to an American when he was ordered deported

You simply keep making things up as you go along

So he had permission to be here, and he married an American, which gives him the right to residency.

I'm just not seeing the problem here.

If the Government can deny Abrego-Garcia fundamental rights and protections, it can do the same to you.

How is a deportation order translate to having permission to be here in your weird world view?????

What fundamental rights were denied? He had a full hearing, the order was to deport him. Since then he was given a bond, a chance to self deport with his family, and instead continued to engage in apparent criminal behavior. He got indicted, just like anyone else would, and is awating trial on those charges, like anyone else would.

What fundamental right was he denied?

But he was eligible to be deported anywhere else. What does that have to do with your lie that he is automatically give the right to stay by marrying an American. You have admitted you know there is a process, so why do you keep lying?
Here's the thing. You haven't given me a good reason why he should be denied a green card, other than he made Cheeto Hitler look bad.
He entered the country illegally. He should have to go back and wait in line, like an honest immigrant.

As far as I know, he is still eligible to self-deport and get $1,000 and keep his eligibity to apply for a visa.

You haven't given me a good reason that he is better or more desirable than the thousands of honest would-be immigrants in El Salvador and elsewhere.

Are you finally going to stop lying about marrying a citizen granting automatic right to residency?

The only thing he's guilty of is making Mango Mussolini look like an ass.

Court after court has ruled his removal was illegal. And when these bullshit charges are dismissed, we'll be back to square one.

Yes, there is a process. He needs to be allowed to complete it.

That's not my job. He works a full time job and he has a family of Americans. That's a good enough reason to let him stay.

The only thing he's guilty of is making Mango Mussolini look like an ass.
Youre lying. You know hes guilty of entering the U.S. unkawfully, and guilty of beating his wife.
Court after court has ruled his removal was illegal.
no, his being sent to El Salvador was an error, due to an administrative order that he not be sent there.

It was not "illegal." Stop lying.
And when these bullshit charges are dismissed, we'll be back to square one.
Hell be deported as soon as he is released on bail. He's an illegal. Get your crying towel ready.
Yes, there is a process. He needs to be allowed to complete it.
He's had plenty of due process. Wave bye-bye!

Nope.

Hez gone. A legal alien can take his place with mamma.

No court said he couldn’t be deported

Yes he has been convicted of a crime.

Which is not relevant to the fact the court ruled he was illegal and deported

Youre lying. You know hes guilty of entering the U.S. unkawfully, and guilty of beating his wife.

No one ever convicted him of beating his wife. He and his wife made up.

no, his being sent to El Salvador was an error, due to an administrative order that he not be sent there.

No, guy, deporting him at all was an error, because he wasn't who the government said he was.

Hell be deported as soon as he is released on bail. He's an illegal. Get your crying towel ready.

Yesterday, the Injustice Department said that they aren't going to try to deport him until AFTER he gets acquitted. And they will probably fail then as well, but they'll hope this thing gets out of the news by then.

The bigger problem Trump is going to have is that he's going to run out of countries willing to take these people.

Victims of domestic violence often “forgive” their abusers

Doesn’t mean they aren’t abusers and doesn’t make it ok

It’s sad you think domestic violence is ok

Relationships are complicated. You'd probably realize this if you ever had one.
There is nothing complicated about domestic abuse and I would never be in a relationship with an abuser

Pathetic people like you excusing domestic violence are beyond sick

Millions of marriage counselors would disagree.

What a ******* hypocrite you are.

The scene, which occurs near the end of The Apprentice, depicts Trump reacting with fury after Ivana disparages his physical appearance. “You have a face like a ******* orange,” she tells him. “You’re getting fat, you’re getting ugly, and you’re getting bald.” The future president is then shown forcing his wife to the floor and raping her. “Did I find your G-spot?” he asks in the film.

In her 1990 divorce deposition, Ivana Trump described a similar assault that she said occurred shortly after her husband’s scalp-reduction surgery. She claimed that Trump pushed her to the floor and pulled out handfuls of her hair. Ivana initially described what followed as a rape, but later walked back on the claim. In a 1993 statement, she said, “On one occasion during 1989, Mr Trump and I had marital relations in which he behaved very differently towards me than he had during our marriage. As a woman I felt violated … I referred to this as a rape, but I do not want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense.”

No one ever convicted him of beating his wife. He and his wife made up.
If that's your standard, you have no right to accuse Trump of anything other than the paperwork convictions.
No, guy, deporting him at all was an error, because he wasn't who the government said he was.
Lie.

The Republican political strategists would LOVE for this guy to be released again on the American public. He would be the poster boy for not electing Democrats any more.
The bigger problem Trump is going to have is that he's going to run out of countries willing to take these people.
That will not be a problem.

Actually, there's a better argument of Trump abusing women than Garcia.

It's why Trump owes E. Jeane Carroll 88 million.
No, an accusation thirty years after the fact by a woman who claims to have met Trump once and not screamed when he walked into her changing room and raped her is not nearly as credible as Abrego Garcia's description of the beatings she suffered while he was in the country illegally.

Question: Do you want a return to Biden-level border crossings?
