haha yeah um the OLC doesn’t overrule the CourtsIrrelevant. The OLC determined there was enough.
OLC opinions carry weight of law if I’m not mistaken. Nothing that SCOTUS said prevents OLC from making their determination.haha yeah um the OLC doesn’t overrule the Courts
no they don’t…snd more over it’s the court that says what is the law.OLC opinions carry weight of law if I’m not mistaken. Nothing that SCOTUS said prevents OLC from making their determination.
The courts ruled on requesting taxes for the sitting president.no they don’t…snd more over it’s the court that says what is the law.
The case and ruling deal with any time the Congress request. Same rules apply..it has to be for a legit legisative purpose.....the Court said that Congress didn't provide enough information (because let's face it, it's not for a legit legislative purpose0 for them to say it isThe courts ruled on requesting taxes for the sitting president.
What changed?

It was only $25 million.Remember when you circus side-show freaks paid the worlds greatest investigator $50 million to find dirt on Trump? Do you remember that he couldn’t? Do you think he saw Trumps tax returns?
Get it together TDS’ers....it’s time to find sanity.
You're FOS.The law states there has to be a clear intent of why they need to see it. They don’t have a legitimate reason. It’s more witch hunt, and an attempt at intimidation.
Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary [of the Treasury] shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure.
Exactly.Don't forget the clintons, bidens, obamas....
Good news for Trump. Congress is finally going to get a look at his taxes, and he will finally have the opportunity to show proof that he didn't cheat or act unethically in any way. We have all seen how he couldn't show this information, no matter how much he wanted to before because he was under audit. I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm sure he will be celebrating this turn of events tonight.
Congress has to have a legislative purpose. The only agency that can police tax returns, is the IRS. The IRS has audited Trump's tax returns for every year he was in office. If there was something amiss, we would know by now.The tax code provides that Congress’ tax committees—including the House Committee on Ways and Means, the Senate Committee on Finance, and the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT)—are entitled to obtain any tax returns from the IRS that they request.3 Section 6103(f)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) reads:
President Trump Cannot Hide His Tax Returns From Congress
Congress must request the president’s tax returns to understand his murky finances; monitor potential conflicts of interest relevant to national security and other critical issues; and oversee the tax code and IRS.www.americanprogress.org
Congress isn't above the law, either. That would make him above the law and no body should be above the law in the US.
Congress isn't breaking any laws, with the exception of Trump humpers.Congress isn't above the law, either.
I do believe the Democrats place illegal immigrants above the law. That would make him above the law and no body should be above the law in the US.
They have a right to see his taxes.Congress isn't above the law, either.
Its not "open borders" as Fox says.I do believe the Democrats place illegal immigrants above the law.
A right? No, not a right. Can they request a citizen's tax returns if they have a legitimate legislative purpose? Sure. That's what the law says. So, what's their legislative purpose to see Trump's tax returns? They have a right to see his taxes.
Not yet, anyway. When they leak Trump's tax returns to the media, they will have committed a felony.Congress isn't breaking any laws, with the exception of Trump humpers.
