I never felt anybody has tried to force their opinions on me. The closest I've seen to that is in the media when a guest has straightforwardly addressed the question put to them and an interviewer becomes somewhat confrontational and refuses to move off the question.

When it comes to insults, very rarely are they witty. I mostly see them as a defensive maneuver for those with no ability to support their point and should be taken as an admission of defeat by those that resort to them.
