Trump's taxes.

OLC opinions carry weight of law if I’m not mistaken. Nothing that SCOTUS said prevents OLC from making their determination.
no they don’t…snd more over it’s the court that says what is the law.

The courts ruled on requesting taxes for the sitting president.

What changed?
The case and ruling deal with any time the Congress request. Same rules apply..it has to be for a legit legisative purpose.....the Court said that Congress didn't provide enough information (because let's face it, it's not for a legit legislative purpose0 for them to say it is

Read the decision.

Held: The courts below did not take adequate account of the significant separation of powers concerns implicated by congressional subpoenas for the President’s information.

It’s all about requests for the president’s information.

Remember when you circus side-show freaks paid the worlds greatest investigator $50 million to find dirt on Trump? Do you remember that he couldn’t? Do you think he saw Trumps tax returns?
Get it together TDS’ers....it’s time to find sanity.
It was only $25 million.
YES, and Mueller found plenty to warrant further investigation.
The only "circus side-show" freaks were Trump humpers who believed Billy Barr's "summary".

November 19 2019
Along with a team of experienced prosecutors and attorneys, Robert Mueller, the former FBI director has indicted, convicted or gotten guilty pleas from 34 people and three companies, including top advisers to President Trump, Russian spies and hackers with ties to the Kremlin. The charges, which Mueller referenced during his opening statement to the House Judiciary Committee on July 24, range from interfering with the 2016 election and hacking emails to lying to investigators and tampering with witnesses.

That netted over $48 million, making a profit of $27 million.

A lot more than the $7 million, republicans wasted, just on Benghazi.
2 years of wasted time and not one person went to prison, went to jail, was arrested or even charged with a crime.

Yeah, that makes sense to Trump humpers?

The law states there has to be a clear intent of why they need to see it. They don’t have a legitimate reason. It’s more witch hunt, and an attempt at intimidation.
You're FOS.
Congress can see anyone's taxes for any reason.

The tax code provides that Congress’ tax committees—including the House Committee on Ways and Means, the Senate Committee on Finance, and the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT)—are entitled to obtain any tax returns from the IRS that they request.3 Section 6103(f)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) reads:

Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary [of the Treasury] shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure.

Good news for Trump. Congress is finally going to get a look at his taxes, and he will finally have the opportunity to show proof that he didn't cheat or act unethically in any way. We have all seen how he couldn't show this information, no matter how much he wanted to before because he was under audit. I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm sure he will be celebrating this turn of events tonight.

The DOJ doesn't have that authority...lol

Congress has to have a legislative purpose. The only agency that can police tax returns, is the IRS. The IRS has audited Trump's tax returns for every year he was in office. If there was something amiss, we would know by now.
