“I think the tariffs are the ice cream on the cake of a perfect storm,” said Brown. “When you try and sell a product, okay, U.S. soybeans leaving New Orleans without the tariff to China are cheaper than Brazilian soybeans, at the current market. But when you put the tariff on top of them, Brazilian beans are cheaper.”
What can be done to help farmers?
“In the short term, they have no choice but to mail us a check,” said Brown. “I don’t know a farmer that likes the check program. Nobody wants to take the taxpayer dollars, but nobody wants to go broke, nobody wants to lose everything. Long term, we have to have options, markets, and places to sell our product.”

Look for a MAJOR blue wave in the 2026 midterms as American farming communities reject the MAGAt lies about "making America Great Again" that Trump fed them in 2024.
They're already realizing that Trump's bullshit rhetoric isn't filling their bank accounts or paying off their loans and mortgages.
It is going to be impossible for any pro Trump candidates to win elections across the nation.
Trump's stink taints them all. So we probably are only going to have to endure a little over one year more of Trump's incompetent leadership before Dems take back Congress and finally impeach him for real this time...and for good.
That is of course IF he doesn't stroke out by then but in that case voters will transfer their wrath to his worthless VP so it won't matter much.

Democrats are at 19% and Trump is at 54%, knowing that these numbers fluctuate.
I can guarantee you that Trump did not lose any rural voters.

If democrats get in and keep borrowing and spending, the dollar will collapse, tariffs will prevent that.
We owe $37T and pay $1.1T a year just in interest.
Biden had a $1.85T budget deficit, Trump is close to a surplus, with tariffs and BBB budget cuts.
