There was a study in 2005 from the Health and Human Services, that concluded that if we had another Spanish Flu type pandemic, that we would need approximately 740,000 ventilators. At that time the country had approximately 160,000.

Now this study was available to then president Bush, and afterwards Obama, who combined were in charge of the country for 11-12 years before Trump even came into office.
In addition this report was available to governors of all 50 states, and to the countries 6000-7000 hospitals. Nothing was stopping the two presidents, nor the many governors, nor the 6000-7000 hospitals, from stocking up during those 11-12 years and achieving the magic 740,000 mark ! Their lack of action during those years, was, and is NOT Trumps fault !

So to the OP, and to the American left, take your mother fucking blame game, and SHOVE IT UP YOUR BIG FAT ASSESS !!!

The Feds.......aka the CDC had a report out that for a major Pandemic they needed to stock pile 10,000 more of them. But they had enough for what they considered a minor outbreak....So they did'n't spend the money....about 500 million.

Now the States are responsible for doing the same......which is why the CDC doesn't keep MASSIVE STOCKPILES......

No one across the country wanted to spend the money to stockpile in good times...........States or Feds.......but they all want to point fingers when the shit hits the fan.

50k ventilators would be 2.5 Billion .......wonder if they put that into the latest bill............

Auto makers can produce these things.........but that would take time....and building a car hardly is a SANITIZED LAB ENVIRONMENT.....needed to make this product............
