I'm not really thrilled to say stuff like this, but I just don't think most of them have the capacity to think any of that through. And once any kind of government involvement appears, it's automatically dismissed.
This is what their strict adherence to Reagan's "government is the problem" speech line has done: People who run the government not wanting the government to run. There is no middle ground, there is no innovation, there is no advanced thinking.
