Trump to end LGBTQ crisis hotline… why?

It is more than just suicide.
Domestic abuse, kicked out of work, having to deal with an asshole Republican at work
We shouldn’t be paying for a hotline because some dembot got their feelings hurt cause they got fired

That’s not what it was designed for

And it’s not the domestic abuse hotline..this is

Life in MAGA America

I feel your pain
the sun will come up tomorrow
Thoughts and prayers

Not the same as someone who is gay and has been through what you have in life.
Agreed call the number they will get you your gay counselor

You just highlight you have no idea what this hotline does, your ignorance is astounding

The people who run this service don't see the problem, so neither do I.

Your TDS needs a hotline. Good luck.

'Everyone who contacts the 988 Lifeline will continue to receive access to skilled, caring, culturally competent crisis counselors who can help with suicidal, substance misuse, or mental health crises, or any other kind of emotional distress. Anyone who calls the Lifeline will continue to receive compassion and help,' the agency said.

OK, then why not get you a gay counselor directly instead of putting you on hold and bouncing you around?

I can see if not many people push 3, but there seems to be a lot of use

Because the hotline isn’t designed for that, it takes you to an operator, that connects you to people and resources in your local community

There aren’t a bunch of professional counselors sitting around their offices 24/7 waiting on their phone to ring the hotline

Moreover you think someone in crisis can get the help they need from a phone call?

And no there is about 2000 to 700 calls a day, Slade3200, gave me those numbers…out of a population of 340 million…not much usage.
Geez you dembots can’t be think

Apparently dembots think if you are gay and want to kill yourself the hotline needs to know that before they help you.

Sort of weird
LGBTQ, like Vets, have high suicide rates so support was being provided to help those in crisis with those needs. Its not hard to understand. Some states also include Native Americans because they also suffer from high suicide rates as a group.

Why would anybody be against trying to better help those in need?

So they need their own hotline. Proves it's a mental disease.
It’s strange the dembots don’t want a special option for people that have been diagnosed with say bi polor, or for someone with a drug or alcohol problem, or victim of a crime

They just want to know if you are gay…and mind you this option just started under xiden…what’s the message they are trying to push?

That’s what the hotline does when you speak to a counselor

They don’t need you to hit option. 3 on the phone before speaking to them and doing that for you
Would you support eliminating the section for Vets as well?

Would you also support emlinating the Vet portion of the line?
Nope cause that directs them directly to the VA. A cabinet level admin in our govt

If you don’t push that it directs you to an operator that directs you to help in your area

Are you suggesting that service to the country is exactly the same as getting fucked in the ass?
Got no clue how you drew that twisted conclusion but it wasn't even close to what that poster wrote or even implied

15th post
Yes, hes not funding discrimation that xiden did at the cost of 33 million

He thinks gay people deserve the same help everyone else that’s not in the VA gets
Its not discrimination in the sense youre implying... its issue related support based on what mental health struggles people are dealing with. Vets primarily struggle with PTSD... LGBTQ have their set of issues. Native Americans and other groups struggle as well. These are the highest risk groups for suicide so tailored services are provide in addition to general crisis counseling

The trans aspect seems to be the issue from reading the link.

In all honesty it's being pushed too much. Probably want to abandon that hill
.

The entire trans agenda is only mental illness, and it must be treated as such.

.

Would you support eliminating the section for Vets as well?
No, because that directs you to the VA, a cabinet level agency that helps vets

Hitting option 3 doesn’t do that

I am just curious what you think this hotline does?
