Everyone acknowledged that China was taking advantage of trade with the U.S. for decades but nobody wanted to do anything about it. Now that President Trump has shown the willingness to get a better deal the angry left has become a willing agent of Chinese (and Russian?) propaganda designed to undermine Trump's efforts. Deranged lefties hate the President so much that they will do anything and engage in propaganda to try to undermine the administration and damn the Country.

Some thing had to be done about china , this is for sure. We are the ones paying more for goods that is also for sure. Considering it is very hard to find made in the USA stamps these days we have no choice but to purchase Chinese goods. The tarriffs collected should go to infrastructure and subsidies for manufacturing facilities so we can once again fund made in the USA stamps on products again. We need to get the American consumer into buying quality products again once offered. The other mistake made when starting these tarriffs was not getting our allies to also offer install these tarriffs. A wold united against chinese policies would be more effective. We need to stop this R vs. D mentality and start working together to fix infrastructure and the like. I can not see how either party would be against fixing our decaying infrastructure. Roads,bridges,rail, and the like is what makes coomerce possible and we are ignoring all of them currently.
