Americans are presently paying 90% of the tariffs put up by Trump. That is an additional $1,000 per year, per household

It's up the consumers to decide if they want to pay the higher prices.
This is hilarious. And kind of sick and cruel, when you think about it. It's like when liberals pass intrusive regulations and then try to tell us we're still free: "You can still own guns, you just have to register with the state and undergo constant monitoring".

When you strip away all the excuses, statists just want to use the government to control other people.

I am not seeing the big difference here. Businesses pass the cost through, so they can make a profit. Harris wanted to raise taxes on businesses and so 90% plus of the cost of a business’s tax increase is passed on to the consumer. In fact every service station in American adds all their taxes right into the price you pay. Businesses don’t pay taxes or tariffs, so what is the difference, government gets the money and taxpayers pay it when they purchase goods.

Americans will continue to pay. Trump's inability to overcome his tariff addiction will significantly impact the midterms. There is no escape for Republicans.
If so, it will be because of the incomprehensible ignorance of the American people regarding economics.

So you are willing to sacrifice your own pocketbook so that the Rich get richer, correct?
So you want the greedy inefficient government to get our money over greedy businesses?

So you want the greedy inefficient government to get our money over greedy businesses?
Again, these aren't free-market conservatives. They want the government to have power over business just as much as the Democrats do.

The $1,000 a year is a guess, aka a lib lie

But its an easy lie to tell and get away with

When the rich get richer the rest of us do as well
When the government gets richer we all get poorer
When the rich get rich they need services by the middle class and create the growth ladder. Many in the MC become rich.

Hafar, I HONESTLY suggest that you go back to school and learn how to think

I do not remember having met anyone as misinformed or even ignorant like you.

It is sad to see, given that you do know how to get into a computer and type and babies are not able to do that, meaning that you have "enough" knowledge on how to use a computer..............but that is where your knowledge ends.

Sad!

Not a single word from you about BIdens inflation
Cumulative Impact
The cumulative inflation during Biden's four-year term was roughly 20% to 21%. This means that, on average, the cost of goods and services increased by more than one-fifth from the time he took office until he left.
CNBC +1

Comparison to Previous & Current Terms
  • Trump First Term (2017–2021): Inflation averaged 1.9% to 2.46%.
  • Biden Term (2021–2025): Inflation averaged approximately 5%.
  • Trump Second Term (Early 2025–Present): Inflation has averaged roughly 2.7% through late 2025.

I agree, government is greedy because they know money is power.

Escobar, who killed if you looked at him wrong was a hero in many ways to his hometown because where he paid for houses, schools, soccer fields, clinics. Handed out cash, food, and jobs, to families who had nothing, he looked like a savior. To someone whose child now had a roof or medicine, morality came second to survival. Escobar knew that and played it well.

Our political parties know what Escobar knew and they use that knowledge.

If people are keen to buy imports they should pay the tariffs. I'm way past worrying about the cost of things.
so being able to pay should not stop people from buying things they need, right? After all, most people can buy using credit cards, right?

Debt is a better solution than buying cheaper imports.........got it!

Debt, caused by misguided consumer credit programs, is one of our biggest problems.

Imports create government debt. Paying a tariff reduces the debt a little.

He has zero concept of (0) macroeconomics, including supply chains.

Which is exactly why he blew through the $400 million that Daddy gave him, later referring to himself as The King of Debt.

Remember when Obama said he would raise capital gains tax rates, even if that would result in less government revenue?

That was awesome!

Corrupted unions make things look good for you. Not good for the areas they are in though. Puerto Rico suffered far worse due to those in corrupted unions when the hurricane hit several years ago. A lot of products never reached the people due to the corrupted employees. Say. Let us pay everyone in this nation like the teamsters as an example.

Sure, it can be repaid. We just have to do it.

FALSE AND FAKE

Debt and Obligations exceed three hundred trillion .

Separately , If Derivatives fall as they soon will, their Debt alone will exceed one quadrillion which itself is 1000 trillion .

There is zero possibility of even coming close to clearing debt .

Not within a light year of trying .
