Trump sold billions in weapons to the state he said masterminded 9/11

It's all falling apart for him at an astounding rate

This is the same Saudi Arabia that Trump bluntly accused of masterminding 9/11, of loving to kill gays and enslaving women, the same country that Trump said, after his election, should be banned from exporting any oil to the United States. But this was a few days before the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began to court Trump, four months before his meeting in the White House was described as a turning point in relations between the two countries, seven months before Trump was received by the Saudi royal family with pomp, parades, horses and dancing princes. It’s tempting to say that Trump was welcomed as if he was Lawrence of Arabia, were it not for the fact that Lawrence disliked King Saud and said his rule would introduce extremist Wahhabist Islam to the Arabian peninsula. This is the same Islam that Trump said hates America, and therefore requires a travel ban to protect it.

Trump just sold billions of dollars of sophisticated weapons to a state he said masterminded 9/11

U.S. President Barack Obama's administration has offered Saudi Arabia more than $115 billion in weapons, other military equipment and training, the most of any U.S. administration in the 71-year U.S.-Saudi alliance, a report seen by Reuters has found.

The report, authored by William Hartung of the U.S.-based Center for International Policy, said the offers were made in 42 separate deals, and the majority of the equipment has yet to be delivered. Hartung told Reuters the report would be made available publicly on Sept. 8.

The report said U.S. arms offers to Saudi Arabia since Obama took office in January 2009 have included everything from small arms and ammunition to tanks, attack helicopters, air-to-ground missiles, missile defense ships, and warships. Washington also provides maintenance and training to Saudi security forces.

Obama administration arms sales offers to Saudi top $115 billion: report

So since Trump is doing the exact same thing, you admit that Obama as right all along? Or do you think Trump is screwed up, just like you accused Obama of being? It has to be one or the other. Make up your mind or STFU

Are you asking the OP?

Actually, I was responding to an fncceo post, but it is an open question for any Trump supporter.

The OP complained that Trump was arming Suadi Arabia. The respondent pointed out that Obammy did the exact same thing; and accordingly the OP's hypocrisy.

And yet you castigate the respondent?

Did you learn that in public school?

Oddly, that didn't answer my question. Care to give it a shot?

I will wait for the OP to clarify first and then respond.

Care to express your opinion in the mean time?

Except the thread is about Trump's 180 on the issue of Saudi Arabia, which as far as I can recall was not the case with Obama. Yes, Obama armed a country in the midst of committing war crimes against innocent civilians, and he should be imprisoned for it, but there was never any question of him not arming the Saudis.

So nothing can change ever?
Have Saudi Arabia's policies toward women or gay people changed? Have the 9/11 hijackers' nation of origin somehow changed? Did they change history and change the fact that Bandar funded some of the hijackers?

Trump's goals are in a constant state of change. Often within the same sentence.
