Trump Reportedly Is Set To Accept A Jet From Qatar’s Ruling Family For Possible Use As Air Force One

CNN - Long-delayed next Air Force One jets from Boeing might now be delivered by 2027 — in time for President Donald Trump to use them, according to a top Air Force official.

And it's been delayed. Chances are, they won't be delivered until 2028 or 2029.

While that’s still years behind the original delivery date of 2022, it’s one to two years earlier than Boeing had most recently predicted.

Care to give a cite on that one? The earliest it can be done is 2027 and then it still won't be flyable until it's completely rung out. I predict it won't happen before 2028 for the first time it's actually going to receive call sign Air Force One.

_____________

Boeing’s $3.9 billion contract to replace the two Air Force One jets has become an expensive and embarrassing albatross. Boeing has reported losses totaling $2.5 billion already on the program, known as VC-25B, since it agreed to be responsible for what has become soaring cost overruns.

Educate us and give references. I am curious.

There are multiple reasons for the delay in delivery. After signing the original contract in 2017, Boeing began refurbishing two 747 jets in February 2020 that it had built for another customer but never delivered because of that customer’s bankruptcy — a process that in hindsight probably was more expensive and time consuming than if it had built from scratch.

20 years commercial heavy maintenance under FAA guidelines...where it's called overhaul.

Again, it's determined by what the Aircraft needs.

Deal signed in 2017.....refurbishing of two existing started in 2020.

My sources say that the contract wasn't signed until 2024 for a 2027 completion.

Looking into a lighter version of the two at Boeing, with minimal 'goodies' to act as an interim.

Looking like you don't know what you're talking about.

Served in the USAF for over 20 years and worked around various types of C-135s from Tankers to EC and RCs. I used the Depot birds for cheap vacation transportation. Now, what about you. What are your Creds?

AI - In 2018, the Air Force issued a contract to Boeing to convert two 747s to eventually serve as new Air Force One aircraft, for $3.9 billion. In 2019, the Pentagon estimated that the total estimated cost of building, equipping and testing the planes would be higher, at about $5.3 billion.

My sources say it was issued in 2024 which makes the delivery date of 2027 just about right. How much of your info is also flawed? You need to give verifiable information cites since you are also prone to lie your ass off and no one can really depend on you to be honest.

Well you need to do some research................Boeing cried and said 2028/2029 but Trump recently pitched a bitch and now maybe 2027.
Now, what about you. What are your Creds?
20 years commercial heavy maintenance, have my tickets.

Sort of. It's called an ongoing maintenance program. AC's rotate in at different time intervals for work in certain stations on the plane. After rotating through, over a certain period, the whole AC has been checked. They do what is called a heavy 'Q' check where it's gutted and inspected/repaired as required also. The longest interval for removal from service.

Being as CNN mentioned, contract signed 2017, work started on two repo's in 2020, I'd say you're info is flawed.

Please show where I've lied my ass off......dare you.

If he was flying in a Cessna 152 it would be AF-1.

Depends on the branch of service. It could be an Army one and the call sign would be Army One. Shall we continue your education or are you going to get back to holding your ears, shutting your eyes and screaming "LaLaLaLa" over and over again.

Like WW said 'if' it was owned by the AF.

Sarcasm 'fly' over your head?

Time to go back to your sandbox.

Nope, you just made a claim with no background to it. Should be believe a MAGAt like you?

Well you need to do some research................Boeing cried and said 2028/2029 but Trump recently pitched a bitch and now maybe 2027.

Maybe, Maybe.......... After seeing this, I already predicted 2028 or 2029.

Wow, a Heavy Equipment Operator. Now, what company did you work for? As a Magat, expect this to be fact checked.

I have time around 135 Depots and not once did they gut any of them. The ONLY place where a Military Heavy would be gutted would be at Davis Mothan.

You need to start giving references for your claims. Starting with, your Creds which don't check out.

He didn't say that the 152 was owned by anyone. You made the claim. And there are NO Cessna 152s in the AF Inventory. It went out of production in 1978. There are no 152s in US Military Service at all. Therefore, you claim could NEVER happen.

CNN clownman...............

Doing what? Working at the DFAC or peeking into the hangar and spanking your monkey?

Worked on a whole bunch of shit.....how about you?

No, you're lying again.

Have a nice night, DANTE.
