Trump pushing for a balanced budget.

Newt drug Slick to that budget kicking and screaming. Slick vetoed it, then when faced with an override he signed it and tried to take credit for it.

Only idiots like you bought it.
/newt was forced out by his own caucus and later was shown to be as corrupt and shitty as those he accused (mostly falsely) of being that.

Newt and his House managers during the impeachment of President Clinton all had skeletons falling out of their closets. :auiqs.jpg:

About time. I don't think he can get there as there will be too much opposition once politicians see their ox is being gored.

At least he is pushing for it, and in the process exposing trillions in waste, fraud and abuse.

We need a balanced budget amendment so they have to balance it each and every year. Also, term limits. Without those two things it's just a matter of time before these clowns bankrupt the USA.

Trillions in waste? Gonna have to see a link

Musk was saying the other day that if the DOGE team could keep finding savings at the rate they have been finding them, balancing the budget within a year or so could be possible. The economic benefit and stability that would provide for America and Americans would be amazing.

I can imagine the bawling and squalling we would get from the radical Democrat left and some globalist Republicans if a balanced budget amendment was put out there, but allowing for necessary budget overruns in national emergencies, I think a majority of American people would go for that now.

Who signs a budget into law?

What were the negotiations during the budgets years that led to that?

You're Junior High School arguments are tiring
What is tiring is that you figure that all it takes to discredit your nonsense is a junior high school argument. LMAO. Try again Dainty.

He only signed it under threat of a veto over-ride. Next.

Nope. Not "next."

You really are weak at disinformation and deception. It's very easy to see through your bullshit

Economic policy of the Bill Clinton administration - Wikipedia

Introduced in the House as the "Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993" (H.R. 2264) by Martin Olav Sabo (D–MN) on May 25, 1993

Fiscal policy

In proposing a plan to cut the deficit, Clinton submitted a budget and corresponding tax legislation (the final, signed version was known as the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993) that would cut the deficit by $500 billion over five years by reducing $255 billion of spending and raising taxes on the wealthiest 1.2% of Americans.[5] It also imposed a new energy tax on all Americans and subjected about a quarter of those receiving Social Security payments to higher taxes on their benefits.[6]
Republican Congressional leaders launched an aggressive opposition against the bill, claiming that the tax increase would only make matters worse. Republicans were united in this opposition, and every Republican in both houses of Congress voted against the proposal. In fact, it took Vice President Gore's tie-breaking vote in the Senate to pass the bill.[7] After extensive lobbying by the Clinton Administration, the House narrowly voted in favor of the bill by a vote of 218 to 216.[8] The budget package expanded the earned income tax credit (EITC) as relief to low-income families. It reduced the amount they paid in federal income and Federal Insurance Contributions Act tax (FICA), providing $21 billion in savings for 15 million low-income families.
Clinton signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 into law on August 10, 1993.[9] The law created a 36 percent to 39.6 percent income tax for high-income individuals in the top 1.2% of wage earners. Businesses were given an income tax rate of 35%. The cap was repealed on Medicare. Gas taxes were raised 4.3 cents per gallon. The taxable portion of Social Security benefits were also increased.

You missed taking your Donanemab?
You’re just trolling.

Trump just says shit, a lot like you. It’s meaningless. Not sure why anyone pays attention.

I do wish all you leftists would complete that remedial reading comprehension course I keep recommending. If you would you might be able to discern between what is a suggestion/proposal and what is actual policy.

and the Democrats in the Congress had no input, right? :auiqs.jpg:
I gave you a clear chart showing the balance of power in congress during the last four Clinton years. Avail yourself to it and answer your own stupid question. SMFH

Cool story.

Has nothing to do with the topic, but thanks for sharing your little fantasy.
