Rehab in most cases is to short and they dont address the trauma which is cause if the self medication. Often its just 6 weeks. Trauma therapy must be part of the program but its not. As long as the trauma is still active they will relapse

There are not tens of millions of druggies so far gone that they are sleeping on the streets

We have state laws that allow commitment. I have used it many times. The constitution has nothing to do with it. The problem is we cant hold them for more than few weeks. Some need life long treatment.
