And the real numbers, for once in five years, are great.
The FBI released preliminary crime data for 2025, and the numbers are stunning. Violent crime fell at a rate not seen in nearly a century, and the man overseeing the bureau is the same one the left has been trying to torch for months.
Murder and non-negligent manslaughter dropped more than 18% nationwide last year. Aggravated assault fell more than 7%. Rape declined nearly 8%. Robbery cratered by about 18.5%. All told, violent crime dropped about 9.3% overall; there were roughly 1.1 million fewer violent crimes than in 2024.
"The 2025 crime data in this report shows the single largest decrease in violent crime and murder since 1937 -- as well as huge decreases across the board in terms of aggravated assault, rape, and robbery," FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement.
Property crime wasn't far behind. It dropped by about 12.4%, translating to approximately 5.2 million fewer property offenses than the year before. The data comes from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting Program, which pulled information from more than 17,000 law enforcement agencies -- covering roughly 96% of policing across the country.
This is what happens when you have a tough-on-crime administration running the country.
Patel credited the transformation happening inside the bureau. "Over the last 14 months, we made major transformations at the FBI, and these results show those changes are working." He also pointed to his "back the blue" commitment -- backing law enforcement rather than undermining it -- as central to the approach.
Matt Margolis points out that this is the reason the left is so insane to take out Kash Patel with absurd attacks: They need the pubic to believe that crime is just the cost of doing business and nothing can be done about it, so Shut Up Racist Peasants and Accept The Occasional Beating from a Lunatic Homeless Thug or Rape by a Criminal Illegal Alien.
If Trump and Patel are successful in driving down crime, the public is aware this isn't just the cost of doing business. It's a choice, and one we can choose against.

Commentary:
It began under Biden the death of a career criminal, then weird riots of 2020 which has no explanation, except it was a Democrat insurrection.
Which means that the collapse in crime seen since Trump took office is actually Biden's responsibility.
We all know that Democrats will play this; Trump's first term policies caused crime to go up after he left and Biden's policies made crime go down after he left. also Brian Stelter is a potato-head in any case.
Amazing what enforcing the law can accomplish.
Regardless of which data is utilized, criminologists and data analysts broadly agree that the vast 2020 spike in murders (which was the largest single-year jump in modern records) occurred prior to Biden taking office. While some metrics showed decreases returning crime rates to near pre-pandemic levels, others indicated that total violent crime remained statistically higher than 2019 benchmarks during Biden's term. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Illegals created over 40000 crimes since Biden who brought in tens of thousands of criminals.
There is absolutely evidence to support that claim. No evidence that illegal aliens are any more likely to commit crimes than the general public. Indeed, their best bet is just to lay low and go to work.

Petty obvious, isn't it? Unfortunately, the left are way too blind to even see it, even when you smack them across the face with it. The facts and the truth go against their narrative.

Not every immigrant with a criminal record on ICE's non-detained docket arrived in the U.S. under President Biden's tenure. In fact, official figures indicate many of them have been here for years — if not decades.

Some immigrants with criminal records are able to remain in the U.S. due to diplomatic or legal reasons.

Certain countries, like China, Cuba and Venezuela, limit or outright reject the return of their citizens from the U.S. and the Supreme Court has largely banned indefinite detention in these cases through a 2001 ruling. That means that ICE sometimes has to release immigrants who have been ordered deported by a judge, often because of a criminal conviction, simply because their home country won't accept them.

There is absolutely evidence to support that claim. No evidence that illegal aliens are any more likely to commit crimes than the general public. Indeed, their best bet is just to lay low and go to work.
Lets put your comment in context. Dont we have enough crime that we dont need democrats to import more? Youre also incorrect.

The crime rate among illegal immigrants in Arizona is twice that of other residents, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Friday, citing a new report based on conviction data.

The report, from the Crime Prevention Research Center, used a previously untapped set of data from Arizona that detailed criminal convictions and found that illegal immigrants between 15 and 35 are less than 3 percent of the state’s population, but nearly 8 percent of its prison population.

And the crimes they were convicted of were, on the whole, more serious, said John R. Lott Jr., the report’s author and president of the research center.

His findings also challenge the general narrative that immigrants commit fewer crimes. Those past studies usually don’t look at legal versus illegal populations, Mr. Lott said.

Mr. Lott said the Arizona data is able to peek behind that curtain, and the differences between the populations were stark.
Among nearly 4,000 first- and second-degree murder convictions, undocumented immigrants accounted for nearly 13 percent significantly higher than their percentage of the population. Legal immigrants, by contrast, were less than 1 percent of convicts. Native-born made up the rest.

Undocumented immigrants also accounted for five times the rate of convictions for money laundering and kidnapping, and were three times more likely to be convicted of drive-by shootings.

The data covered from 1985 to 2017. For his data purposes, Mr. Lott defined undocumented immigrants as those who weren’t U.S. citizens or green card holders, signaling permanent residency.

Crime increased during Trump's first term, but you ignore that fact.

2020: The U.S. murder rate spiked by roughly \(30\%\), representing the single largest one-year jump in recorded history. [1, 2]

  • Fact
Reactions: IM2
Both as a candidate and as President, Donald Trump has consistently spoken about illegal immigration and crime. He has claimed that caravans of illegals were coming to take over. He has claimed there was an invasion of the United States by illegals and that those illegals were criminals and they were creating a crime wave sweeping across the states. Everything stated was false. He race baited people by using racial resentment and fear for votes. Trump and Republicans inundated the information systems in this country with propaganda blaming Biden for a sudden massive increase in illegal border crossings. But is that really the truth? It has been said that when Obama left office border crossings were at a more than 3 decade low.

“In fiscal year 2017, the last year of the Obama administration and the first of Trump’s, 303,916 migrants were arrested by the Border Patrol. This was the lowest level in more than three decades. The Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations had worked hard to tackle the problem of illegal migration through substantial increases in border security staffing, improvements in technology, innovations in strategy and improved security coordination and assistance to Mexico. Coupled with improved economic conditions in Mexico, these administrations were hugely successful in deterring and breaking the cycle of illegal crossing: Unlawful Mexican economic immigration, which had historically been the primary immigration enforcement issue at the border, dropped nearly 90 percent between 2000 and 2016.”

So how did border crossings go from a 40-year low in 2017 to a crisis in 2021? Alan Bersin, former Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection/Assistant Secretary and Chief diplomatic officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Nate Bruggeman, Fomer Policy Staff for the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection, and Ben Rohrbaugh former Director for Enforcement and Border Security at the National Security Council, wrote an article published in Politico on April 5, 2019 titled: Yes, There’s a Crisis on the Border. And It’s Trump’s Fault. In this article, the authors argue that President Trump's singular focus on constructing a border wall—regarded as a vanity project—rather than addressing and reforming the asylum system contributed to the challenges at the border witnessed during President Biden's term.

“Despite the administration’s attempts to shift blame for the chaos, make no mistake: It is Donald Trump himself who is responsible. Through misguided policies, political stunts and a failure of leadership, the president has created the conditions that allowed the asylum problem at the border to explode into a crisis. The solution to our current border troubles lies in reforming the U.S. asylum system and immigration courts and helping Central America address its challenges—not in a “big beautiful” wall or shutting down the border. Yet effective action on these issues has been missing. And the president has now so poisoned the political well with his approach that there is little hope of meaningful congressional action until after the next election. Unless the administration changes course, the immigration crisis will only continue to worsen.”

These words were written nearly 2 years before Biden was sworn into office on January 20th, 2021. Donald Trump was warned in 2019 that he needed to change the focus of his immigration policy, but he did not. But when the dam eventually broke during Biden, he was there to point the finger at Joe Biden, as were many others.

Trump sabotaged a strong bipartisan immigration bill worked on by Republican James Lankford and Kyrsten Sinema.

He and the MAGA Republicans created a false narrative about the immigration bill. For example, Representative Scalise claimed the bill allowed 5,000 illegals to enter this country before anything was done. That false information was repeated by pundits and by Trump himself. “Only a fool, or a Radical Left Democrat, would vote for this horrendous Border Bill, which only gives Shutdown Authority after 5000 Encounters a day.” The problem with their opinion was that the bill detained, screened and then deported the first 5,000. If there were more than 5,000 then all illegals were detained and deported. The bill also gave “discretionary activation” to Homeland Security if there was an average of 4,000 per day over a 7 day period. If we put that in perspective, border encounters reached the 4,000 average in 2019 during the Trump administration.

As always bias stands in the way of reality. Google the issue and hopefully learn or try at least.

"Based on 2024 and 2025 data, violent crime has generally decreased under the Biden administration, continuing a downward trend that began in 2023. Conversely, the largest increase in murders ever recorded in the U.S. occurred in 2020, during the final year of the Trump administration"

That is all the **** we heard from Donald during his first term and now his second term. It's all the fault of Biden and Oblama

Donald Trump has consistently deflected blame onto his predecessors for a wide variety of domestic and international crises. He frequently points to the Obama and Biden administrations as the root cause of issues ranging from the economy and foreign policy to government operations. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Notable instances of Trump placing the blame on Obama and Biden include:
  • Middle East & Iran: Trump has stated that the current military conflicts and nuclear tensions with Iran are the fault of Obama's 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal and Biden's subsequent policies.
  • Federal Operations & Investigations: Trump has accused the Obama and Biden administrations of running an "anti-weaponization" campaign and violating the rule of law through the "weaponization of government" against the American people.
  • Aviation Safety: He has blamed diversity and inclusion policies established by his predecessors for air traffic controller shortages and fatal aviation accidents.
  • Domestic Economy: Trump has routinely claimed that the current affordability and inflation crises were inherited from the previous administrations. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
