Trump orders homeless evictions in DC

Why are people in our government, like Trump ,always pushing their so-called religion and telling us it is good while the others are bad?
Do you have an example of trump invoking his religion with drug abuse and homelessness in DC?

No fourth, eighth or fourteenth amendment rights?

You'd be surprised at the amount on the streets because they can't afford rent.
Camping and pooping on public streets is not a constitutional right

Vagrancy has always been against the law

The real solution is to push out of the city limits?

Did you complain when Gavin Newsom in 2023 mobilized police to remove the homeless from San Francisco streets in advance of Xi Ping's visit?

In this video a Trump supporter expresses skepticism over the long-term result of deploying federal police and NG

Why?

Because the primary reason we have homeless people living on the streets is drug addiction and/or mental health issues

They need to be locked up and forced to confront their personal problems before real change takes place

Otherwise we are just playing Whack-a-Mole

You can't "evict" someone from a tent on a sidewalk, you remove them.

You’d be surprised at all the bad personal choices it takes for most homeless to be where they are

The solution is obvious

Confine them to drug rehab centers or mental institutions

Allowing people to camp and poop on the streets is any worse?

Vagrancy laws have pretty much been revoked.

Both

Involuntary drug rehab serves both goal
It wouldn't be the first unconstitutional thing you do because you feel like it.

Guess how well involuntary drug rehab works. Just guess.

Most people think having homeless peeing and pooping outside a private business or harassing customers for handouts is not good

The seem to be spending a lot of time on the Mall, K Sreet, (protecting the ”deep state”), and down amongst the new condos in Southeast, a favorite of Trump flunkies.
