Within a generation we may switch places with Mexico in terms of standard of living.
This is frightening to see on a daily basis. Decades of an unaccountable police state who built massive dossiers on citizens and meddled in their careers, educational pursuits and intimate relations. Now what do we have to show for it?
Our brightest minds have been destroyed and with it the potential economic and global benefit of such representatives of Canada. If you think of Canada today, who do you guys really think of? Any innovators? Any poor mans Musks? O'Leary is perhaps the closest thing we have and he is in the U.S for a reason rather than Canada.
We may have our own Elon Musks somewhere but they are fighting homelessness or violations of their rights by an unaccountable apparatus or two.
