Trump loses Carroll case appeal

Trumps claim is that she lied, not that any constitutional rights were violated.

Trump is trying to get it into federal court, by claiming he's a federal employee. But he already failed with that argument several times.
Trump has a history of failure
One time he claimed he won an election and he lacked 7M+ votes to do so and a certain person name A.B. believed it and is 6 feet under.

Matter of fact, the corrupt Garland DOJ issued press releases of opening investigations into Trump within minutes of him filing for a second run.
Trumps lawyers already knew of the pending charges, and decided to have Trump announce his run months early (earlier than the first time he ran) to use as an argument.

But for some reason the only people willing to file charges were people who ran on going after Trump.

None of the people that actually know Trump were willing to prosecute.
Charges could only be filed in New York.

Because that's where Trump committed his crimes. With the exception of stolen government property.

The crime had already been committed and they ran on holding Trump accountable

Oh... I left out
Trump promised not only to balance the budget
But to pay off the national debt.

Trump: I will eliminate U.S. debt in 8 years

The Republican presidential front-runner said in a wide-ranging interview with The Washington Post that he’d be able to get rid of the more than $19 trillion debt “over a period of eight years.”

Trump insisted in the interview that “renegotiating all of our deals” would help pay down the debt by sparking economic growth.

Glad you brought that up.

The so-called crime was 34 misdemeanors that took place in 2017....so the statute of limitations had already expired.....but Bragg decided to prosecute anyway. He lied about them being felonies....and even then the statute of limitations had expired.

Bragg wasn't held Trump accountable. He was targeting him with political prosecutions.
And FYI, Trump hasn't even been sentenced....so technically he's not a felon.

Trump lost the Trump University fraud case, and the Trump foundation fraud case before he was ever president.

As Mitch McConnell explained, as the Supreme Court ruled in Clinton V Jones, that even presidents are subject to civil law.
Fraud is a criminal offense and it amounted to a lawsuit. Nothing more.
It's similar to somebody burning themselves from hot coffee in a restaurant.

I served on two juries and many folks on those juries were not impartial. It was an eye opening experience.
I was only on criminal cases. I had no problems of impartiality, only knee-jerk judgment, not considering the evidence, but none that were showing partiality to the point of rejecting the evidence, in going over it. The verdicts were just.

Trump was convicted which makes him a felon

His sentence was excused because he was elected President. Doesn’t excuse his guilt

No actually. You don’t. I worked in the system and I am a fan of the system. You only approve of juries when it suits you.
What jury verdict have you heard me disagree with? None? Right. None.

Bullshit. And you don't sound like you worked in the system, unless you are saying people in the system are so jaded, they do not support it or believe it works.
Again, you have never heard me disagree with a jury verdict.

If you do not like the system, write your congressman to get the system changed. Or you can simply whine and disagree when you lose.

No....take some time to look up the law.

He's not officially a felon till he's sentenced.

The case was only designed to trash his reputation.

He WAS sentenced
To no time because he won the election

Still the FELON

You definitely suffer from TDS. Stupidity at that level does not occur naturally. You will probably blame Trump for Israel's attack on Iran and the Minnesota shootings.
I like the move by Israel and wrote of it yesterday, supporting and approving.
The Minnesota assassin may or may not be a trumper. I don't know. True, the only people on his list were Democrats and pro-choice. I have never heard trump, himself, saying they should be attacked, only seeing it said on here by partisan extremists.
Trump came out today, denouncing the shooter, his actions, and promising Bondi would investigate and prosecute to the limits of the law. That was important, as the Federal system has the death penalty, while Minnesota is a lock them up and pay for their care state.
