Trump loses Carroll case appeal

Wishful thinking when Trump is behind at the bottom of the 9th and has 2 strikes against him
One appeal deep is the beginning of the the third inning the 4th at the latest. Everyone understands that you're going to have to move out of the jurisdiction to get any kind of clear picture on this.
It's a slow process but it will go where it's supposed to go which is away.

There is no federal question.

It's about him and his actions, nothing else.
Trump's action was simply to declare his candidacy again.

None of this crap would have been an issue if he had decided not to run for POTUS again.

Matter of fact, the corrupt Garland DOJ issued press releases of opening investigations into Trump within minutes of him filing for a second run.

NYC has known Trump his whole life
Nobody knows him better
But for some reason the only people willing to file charges were people who ran on going after Trump.

None of the people that actually know Trump were willing to prosecute.

Oh im sure they did. My issue is that she potentially stand to gain $83M, on lawsuit where she had to provide exactly zero evidence. The amount of damages she claimed for defamation is 40 times her current net worth. How can she claim 80M dollars in damages when her current net worth up to this point has been about 2M?

Are you upset because you donated to Trumps election fund and YOUR donations might pay this?

Trump lost the Trump University fraud case, and the Trump foundation fraud case before he was ever president.

As Mitch McConnell explained, as the Supreme Court ruled in Clinton V Jones, that even presidents are subject to civil law.

#1 Testimony by Carroll and other * IS * evidence.

#2 She was awarded a much smaller amount in "damages", the $83 comes form punitive damages*** and from the fact that after the first award Trump immediately went to the airwaves and twitter repeating the claims that caused him to lose the first time. The second award being much higher than the first to escalate up the punitive damages.

When it comes to punitive damages, it matters not the net worth of the claimant, it is the assets of the respondent that is factored in.

***Punitive damages, also known as exemplary damages, are a type of financial award in civil lawsuits intended to punish the defendant for particularly harmful or malicious actions and to deter similar conduct in the future
