No, it is because the straws, being very thin and narrow, go flying off the barges and outside the plastic processing equipment and end up in the environment where they don't belong. Plates and heavier flatware don't go AWOL so much.

Straws are made from a kind of plastic that endures in the environment for a ridiculous amount of time considering how long they get used.

Everyone should try a cruise at east once. There are shorter cruises that from the end of August to about February you could get on cheaper. Just remember the cruise industry is capitalism. Pre pay what you mostly want and use cash for anything else if you are counting the pennies.

Whatever, I'll never understand why some people extend their hatred for environmentalists to the environment itself. Our economy depends on clean beaches and healthy wildlife and I pretty much despise the assholes who use the world for a trashcan.

Over here the county council passed a law against plastic bags. They claim this is something the citizens wanted. But wouldn't you know it, the law doesn't go in effect until January 1, 2020, and as coincidence would have it, voting day is on November 5th, 2019. What are the odds, huh?

So unless the public is reminded of this before the election, after the first of the year, no longer will you just be able to go to the store and simply buy your groceries. You will have to drag your stupid reusable cloth bags with you. It will make the groceries a little heavier to get into the house, if you forget your bags, you will either have to run home to get them, or buy more of them in the store.

Like I said, Democrats are nothing but control freaks no different than the communists in other countries.

Now that the FCC is banning spoofed numbers, I have noticed an uptick in overseas numbers on my cellphone. Today I had calls from Somalia and Ghana show up on my ID......hmmm a call from a mall in Ghana. Sure hope that wasn't important.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I had over 20 spoofed numbers this week alone.

What the government did do is give permission for phone companies to implement anti-spoofing technology, but the FCC didn't outlaw spoofed numbers. I understand AT&T now has a free system in place to stop spoofed calls, but Lord only knows how good it works.
