There has always been a battle between Dems and Reps in Texas and always will be. Personally, I like the way Politics is done in Texas. And a Texas Dem in California would be a Republican. Same goes for here as well. We get a lot of out of state "Politicos" here and they oftentimes have to change parties. Texas is part of the West, not really part of the South. Who knows, you may wake up one day and find it controlled by the Dems and life will still go on.
