Actually, what Trump and his supporters need to learn is the difference between a visa and refugee status.

In many cases, to get a visa is relatively easy, and doesn't take much time. And, if you are a country that has favored status with the USA, it's not much of a problem at all. Just a form or two and a quick interview.

Refugees, however, go through at least 5 different interviews over the course of 18 to 24 months, and are checked out every step of the way to make sure what they said is true. One of the reasons for the multiple interviews is to make sure they don't change their story.

If you want to TRULY make this country safe, think about beefing up the requirements for visas. Almost all of the terrorist attacks in this country came from people who came here on a visa.
