Trump Has An Epic New Plan To Prevent Dems From Ever Taking Back The House

Stephen Miller is spearheading a plan to shepherd through a new bill in the House/Senate that will ensure - going forward - only US citizens are counted in the Census.

This should add 12 seats into the GOP column.

That's about the future, the MAGA legacy.

In the meantime, TX and OH as redistricting in such a fashion that should provide Mike Johnson an extra six or seven seat firewall.

Happy Fourth MAGA, the future is looking bright.

Wrong.
When you remove non-citizens from the census data on district population, you reduce the number of House seats. So it can't increase the number of representatives for any state.
The only way I can think of that this could at all benefit the GOP is if it reduced the seats apportioned for urban areas, thus increasing the value of the more sparse rural seats that are more likely to be GOP?

But again, reducing census populations reduces the total number of representatives, and does not increase them in any way.
And any change won't be known until the next election.

Does not say what you think it does. First there is that peaky "whole Number of Free Persons". Persons, not citizens. Your highlight is about how States go about conducting the Census, not who they count.
Is an illegal alien a "free person" if they are in ICE custody? What about an illegal subject to arrest and deportation?

No need to answer. Congress makes that call.

Hope it works. This is one of the biggest reasons why the dems want as many illegals as possible.

Does not change anything if the illegals are evenly distributed in both areas that vote democrat and republican.
If that is the case, then both republicans and democrats will lose house seats that were due to illegals in census counts.
The only way it can help republicans to stop counting illegals is if illegals happened to be mostly in areas that vote democrat.

Can libs explain why illegals are being counted to begin with? You all have said they're not voting or using resources or getting public assistance so there's no need to count them.

You need to count illegals in the census because they effect urban planning, like sewage, utilities, roads, schools, etc.

And it's about time. I had read this legislation was in the works, i.e. to remove all illegals from the last census. Migrants should NOT EVER be counted in apportionment of state or federal districts. All honorable Americans will support it 100%.

Except that is likely won't make any difference at all.
Most illegals are agricultural workers, so would be counted in rural areas, thus increasing the seats for republicans.

Born here to people from here, you ******* retard.
The 14th Amendment was written with Black Americans at that time in mind and in the future going forward from there.
Nobody else. Nobody else at all and the Supreme Court has ruled on this.
This is settled, dipshit. As far as America is concerned. 😐

Jus soli was part of English common law and recognized by the colonies long before the 14th Amendment. The 14th Amendment was needed because some racist wanted to deny citizenship to the free slaves.

A white European couple that immigrated to the United States in - oh - say 1800, their child was considered a citizen via jus soli.

The 14th Amendment tried to clear it up but they screwed that one up. Gave us birthright citizenship. One of the dumbest moves in human history.
You only feel that way because you are a nativist bigot.

Your ancestors weren't welcome here, either. And all the same things you say about immigrants were said about your ancestors.

Different century, same rhetoric.

SCOTUS, being chickenshit scumbags, is too gutless to do what's right. They KNOW the 14th Amendment was intended for Freed Slaves and not for just anybody that squirted out a kid on our Land.
Actually, you are the one who has it wrong. The authors of the 14th Amendment made it very, very, very clear and unequivocable that EVERYONE born here is a citizen, excluding the children of ambassadors and diplomats.

Except that is likely won't make any difference at all.

As I showed above, in 2020 Texas and California would have each lost one seat. So that's break-even for both parties.

However, New York would have gained a seat, so that's one gain for Democrats.

Ohio would also have gained a seat, which is a tossup for both parties.

The guitar player in the OP pulled his numbers from his ass.

No we need to figure out how to stop seats from being stolen through shady shit like ballot harvesting and mail-in cheating.

There is nothing to indicate ballot harvesting or mail-in voting is less secure than in person voting.

Harvesting does not create absentee ballots, only picks them up.
So the full absentee methodology is employed.
There is no way around this for things like elderly facilities, hospitals, the military, etc.

Mail-in voting not only checks the background of the person when the ballot is mailed out, but also then verified the address. So is more secure than in-person voting.
Which is why many states like OR have switched to mail-in ballots only.
It is MORE secure, not less.

Here is the Congressional Record: https://www.14thamendment.us/articles/jacob_howard_on_14th_amendment_1866.gif

The sponsor of the 14th amendment (Jacob Howard) made it crystal clear that birthright citizenship was for everyone, excluding the children of foreign ministers and ambassadors for obvious reasons.

"This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States."

Trump can't do jack shit about it.

Because the Constitution says a count of all persons not citizens

15th post
You don't think the SCOTUS will uphold the 14th Amendment?

WW

You ability to ignore the plan language of the Constitution and debate without gong to personal insults is amazing.

You know darn well that sanctuary cities and states are harboring illegals, a whole lot more than red states. The whole state of California is harboring illegal fugitives. Why do you think LA is rioting and the politicians are backing the rioters up?

Nice try.

The Constitution gives Congress the authority to determine how the census is conducted.

  • Clause 3 Seats
  • Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.

No, that is not listing how the census it to be conducted.
That is describing how House representatives and taxes are to be apportioned.

For example, this excludes Native Americans and a census would not.
This also has the old 3/5s compromise for slaves, which is outdated.
