Under the relevant census law, refusal to answer all or part of the census carries a $100 fine. The penalty goes up to $500 for giving false answers. In 1976, Congress eliminated both the possibility of a 60-day prison sentence for noncompliance and a one-year prison term for false answers.correct, hence why they are trying to get it added. If you had filled one out before then you know you don't have to provide any proof, your answers are however under penalty of perjury. So if they found out you lied, you'd be charged with a felony and prosecuted.....so if you are a noncitizen and lie, you are really risking a lot, including prison time, and then deportation
Carlson and Bongino are both nutty conspiracy theorists whose constant, over the top lies expose the corporation to a lot of legal liability. No they Jettisoned Tucker & Bongino
& many others and kept the Political Pollster hack and moved to the Left .
However, the fine could be significantly higher than $100 for purposely avoiding questions. The Sentencing Reform Act of 1984 increased the fine for any criminal misdemeanor to as much as $5,000, effectively raising the penalty fiftyfold for refusing to answer a census question. Any prosecution would be handled by the U.S. Department of Justice, and a census spokeswoman has said, "We view this approach as a last resort."Under the relevant census law, refusal to answer all or part of the census carries a $100 fine. Is It Illegal to Refuse to do Census? | Law & Crime
Earlier this month, calls on twitter suggested conducting a boycott of the 2020 U.S. census if it included a question about U.S. citizenship: “If the citizenship question is added I will boycott the census,” said one tweet.lawandcrime.com

Where does it say that?Born here to people from here, you ******* retard.
The 14th Amendment was written with Black Americans at that time in mind and in the future going forward from there.
Nobody else. Nobody else at all and the Supreme Court has ruled on this.
This is settled, dipshit. As far as America is concerned.![]()
That's settled now. No, foreigners cannot just drop babies here and the babies are Americans even though they are foreign nationals. No. One or both has to be American for their offspring to be American.

Your source is the radical left ACLU? LOL.
You know darn well that sanctuary cities and states are harboring illegals, a whole lot more than red states. The whole state of California is harboring illegal fugitives. Why do you think LA is rioting and the politicians are backing the rioters up?

But California is a sanctuary state. The blue states are harboring far more than the red states. In my experience, all agricultural states like CA are "harboring illegals" and that include Texas, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, and all the red states.
California , Colorado , Oregon , New Mexico , Washington State … are not Red StatesIn my experience, all agricultural states like CA are "harboring illegals" and that include Texas, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, and all the red states.

Wrong.
When you remove non-citizens from the census data on district population, you reduce the number of House seats. So it can't increase the number of representatives for any state.
The only way I can think of that this could at all benefit the GOP is if it reduced the seats apportioned for urban areas, thus increasing the value of the more sparse rural seats that are more likely to be GOP?
But again, reducing census populations reduces the total number of representatives, and does not increase them in any way.
And any change won't be known until the next election.
