Trump Going Forward Part 2. Day By Day

Does anyone think that things are going well for Trump?? :confused-84::confused-84::confused-84:

Trump Adviser Stephen Miller Disastrously Tries To Defend Trump | The Huffington Post

Sunday’s political talk shows to defend the administration’s stance on several major issues. It did not go well.

On ABC’s “This Week,” he vigorously defended ― but provided no evidence to support ― Trump’s lie that “millions” of people had voted illegally.

“I’m prepared to go on any show, anywhere, any time and repeat it and say the president of the United States is correct, 100 percent,” he said.

After pressing Miller several times to no avail, host George Stephanopoulos ended the segment.

We know all the snowflakes are having a real hissy fit.

He must be doing good!
The White House Is Already In Flames

The White House Is Already In Flames | The Huffington Post

WASHINGTON ― National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is gone ― that didn’t take long ― but he leaves behind a famous and fateful question: What did the president know and when did he know it?

Donald J. Trump has been president for less than a month, and already the Watergate query is all the capital is talking about, and, as a result, there is a widespread sense of a White House in deep, perhaps cataclysmic, trouble.

The list of failures and missteps of the Trump administration is as well known as it is long: a litany of patently obvious lies to the public and the press; mismanagement and vicious infighting; several malodorous Cabinet choices; mixed messages from on high, many of them coming within minutes of each other; leaks that gush like a fire hydrant; national security lapses that would be comical if they were not so risky; and a job approval rating lower at this point than that of any new president in memory.
But all of that is as nothing compared with the conflagration now.

Dems Demand Jason Chaffetz Investigate Flynn, Or Step Aside | The Huffington Post

Democrats have repeatedly called on Congress to launch probes into Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, with limited success. Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, chaired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), had already asked Chaffetz to seek various documents from the FBI, National Security Council and Department of Defense regarding Flynn’s vetting for his job.

And then there is Conway. Two major scandals in the first month!

Kellyanne Conway Crumbles Under The Weight Of Her Own Lies | The Huffington Post

Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday struggled to answer basic questions about why White House officials may have known for several weeks that national security adviser Mike Flynn was vulnerable to Russian blackmail yet failed to act.

Flynn resigned late Monday after revelations that he had discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador a month before Donald Trump became president. Sources told The Washington Post that in January, then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates had warned the Trump administration about possible Russian blackmail and suspected that Flynn misled officials, including Vice President Mike Pence, about his contact with Russia.

Ethics Watchdog Denounces Conway’s Endorsement of Ivanka Trump Products

WASHINGTON — The White House adviser Kellyanne Conway’s public endorsement of Ivanka Trump’s product line appears to be “a clear violation of the prohibition against misuse of position,” and she should be disciplined, the federal government’s chief ethics watchdog wrote this week in a letter to the White House.

Although President Trump’s press secretary, Sean Spicer, said last week that Ms. Conway had been “counseled” about her statement, the White House has not clarified what that means. Experts in government ethics say that typically, offenses like Ms. Conway’s would result in a letter of reprimand, though it could be grounds for termination. It is up to the head of each agency — in this case, the president — to determine the punishment.

National Security Council vacuum sparks crisis fears - CNNPolitics.com

The vacant spot atop the National Security Council is triggering anxiety that the White House is ill-prepared to face a sudden foreign policy crisis amid fresh concern about politics at play in the Situation Room.

President Donald Trump is expected to interview several candidates this weekend to replace Michael Flynn, the short-tenured national security adviser who was asked to resign after misleading the vice president about his pre-inauguration calls with the Russian ambassador.

Trump Says There’s Been No Russia Contact -- Of Course, Much Of What He Says Is Untrue | The Huffington Post

Trump has made untrue statements about the size of his inauguration crowd, the “standing ovation” he received at CIA headquarters, the “millions” of “illegal” votes cast in the November election, the murder rate, the news coverage given to terror attacks, and, just Saturday at his Florida “campaign” rally, about the amount of vetting refugees trying to enter the country must undergo and about a nonexistent terror incident in Sweden.

That’s just a partial list, and he’s only been in office a month.

“I don’t know if he’s got the internal capacity to change how he communicates,” conceded Ari Fleischer, a former press secretary to President George W. Bush who has generally given Trump a pass on his falsehoods.

This casual, even cheerful use of untruths is nothing new for Trump. As a self-promoting businessman, he actually bragged about his “truthful hyperbole” and repeatedly made false statements under oath in lawsuit depositions. Neither his Republican primary opponents nor Democrat Hillary Clinton was able to make his near-daily falsehoods on the campaign trail enough of a liability to defeat his candidacy.

WATCH: CIA Operative Resigns In Disgust, Torches ‘Delusional’ Trump in EPIC Rant | Addicting Info | The Knowledge You Crave

I watched in disbelief when, during the third presidential debate, Trump casually cast doubt on the high-confidence conclusion of our 17 intelligence agencies, released that month, that Russia was behind the hacking and release of election-related emails. On the campaign trail and even as president-elect, Trump routinely referred to the flawed 2002 assessment of Iraq’s weapons programs as proof that the CIA couldn’t be trusted — even though the intelligence community had long ago held itself to account for those mistakes and Trump himself supported the invasion of Iraq.”

“Trump’s actions in office have been even more disturbing. His visit to CIA headquarters on his first full day in office, an overture designed to repair relations, was undone by his ego and bluster. Standing in front of a memorial to the CIA’s fallen officers, he seemed to be addressing the cameras and reporters in the room, rather than the agency personnel in front of them, bragging about his inauguration crowd the previous day. Whether delusional or deceitful, these were not the remarks many of my former colleagues and I wanted to hear from our new commander in chief.”

Trump White House Bars News Organizations From Press Briefing | The Huffington Post

Nothing like this has ever happened at the White House in our long history of covering multiple administrations of different parties,” said New York Times editor Dean Baquet.

The White House blocked several news outlets from attending a closed-door briefing Friday afternoon with press secretary Sean Spicer, a decision that drew strong rebukes from news organizations and may only heighten tensions between the press corps and the administration.

The New York Times and CNN, both of which have reported critically on the administration and are frequent targets of President Donald Trump, were prohibited from attending. The Huffington Post was also denied entry.

Both the Associated Press and Time magazine, which were allowed to enter, boycotted out of solidarity with those news organizations kept out.
