Trump Crippled Iran Without Giving Them Another Iraq … So The Experts Moved The Goalposts And Called It Defeat

Not one big enough to get ship traffic thru the Strait anywhere near where it was or where it needs to be.
Copilot says 55% of normal traffic is available today, if ship owners actually chose to send their ships thru.

Concise answer: Combining 10% availability on the Iran‑side channels with 100% availability on the Omani‑side channels

To get back to 100% of normal traffic the deep water channel would need to have 60-80 mines removed.

You can keep advocating for an Iranian regime that slaughters its people, does public hangings, spends its oil money on nothing but advanced weapons systems and terrorism proxies. Not to mention its ICBM program.
You can defend them and attack Trump all you want, but you are on the wrong side, as usual.
Democrats are the worst, yes, even worse than Trump...

Oh, now you care for Iranian people but support a regime that wants to cut healthcare for American citizens. More Americans die for lack of healthcare than Iranians are ever killed by their govt. I have my priorities straight, Trump Humpers are delusiinal

Lol, Obama doesn't deserve to wipe Trump's ass. Trump made Obama obsolete in his first term.
You have ODS too I see. Not to worry. We ‘ll leave wiping and kissing trumps ass to his cult following…that’s you.

It’s not open. No can secure insurance. We aren’t.

This "war" is being run on Iran's timetable and under Iran's conditions.

All Trump can do is blow stuff up,
Uh, that's what you do in war
which is what Iran planned for when it created its network of autonomous administrative groups.

Trump is now reduced to desperately threatening Iran's diplomats, which you just don't do.

Meanwhile, Iran is calmly maintaining its grip on a badly-needed oil supply for the entire planet.

If you think Iran is crippled and helpless, you are just terribly wrong. Ignorant. Hopeless. Worthless.
OK, make your argument that Iran is not crippled,. without resorting to 'because Trump is a poopyhead'

Because Benedict disregarded the agreement in 2018.

The IAEA would have always monitored them. Probably still will.
Uh, the IAEA was monitoring them as part of JCPOA until July of last year

Rs are not cutting Obamacare subsidies, that Obamacare subsidy cut was always there.
Medicaid fraud needs to end.

You may like your healthcare priorities, but this thread is about your apparent support of the vicious Iranian regime.

The US is backstopping insurers. That excuse is gone.
Nope. 100 ships is normal. 12 transited yesterday. Less today as shippers put a halt on new shipments.

An analysis published by Windward found that a total of 12 ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, down from more than 21 the previous day. Five of eight inbound vessels were said to be dark, which is when a ship disables its Automatic Identification System, or AIS, transponder to hide its location, identity and destination.

I don't kiss anyone's ass. Did you celebrate Obama the other day?

There is no ods Trump wiped out the Obama years in his first term.

Can you ask your experts then, why oil is trading in the $70s? Asking for a friend

Trump Crippled Iran Without Giving Them Another Iraq …

So The Experts Moved The Goalposts And Called It Defeat

19 Jun 2026 ~~ By Capt. Seth Keshel

Longtime readers of Captain K’s Corner understand that I prefer to view the world as it is, rather than how I wish it would be. Do you remember last month, when everyone was salivating over polling showing two Republican candidates (Hilton and Bianco) atop the gubernatorial polls, with less than 15% each?
Oh wow, we’re gonna wind up with two Republican candidates for governor this year because there are too many Dems running!
Remember how I felt about that?

Eric Swalwell was clearly pushed out of the race from the Democrat side (by his own people) to prevent the dual-GOP scenario from happening. And then, even if all other machinations failed, the ballot counting machine would have taken as long as possible to ensure the party didn’t get locked out of running its own state. In the end, Steve Hilton made it to the General Election, and by less than 2 points over third-place candidate Tom Steyer – with roughly 83,000 ballots left to count nearly three weeks since Election Day.

An excerpt:
My admonition to all is to tune out the negative voices and the whiners who are trying to stop President Trump from advancing toward a deal. I had hopes the Iranian regime would be rooted out, but once again, it’s not America’s job to do the dying necessary, and without willing partners ready to put boots on ground while we remain at sea and in the air, it’s a non-starter. The best outcome, then, from this point forward looks like the rumored framework of the deal:
  • Strait of Hormuz immediately reopened with de-mining underway
  • Iran gives up uranium enrichment, hands over any stockpiles, and provides access to outside inspectors to ensure their end of the agreement is held up
  • Iran, pending satisfactory fulfillment of above points, gets a break on sanctions and an opportunity for the new chain of command to advance the nation’s standing in the world
Earlier this week, President Trump inked an agreement to bring about the cessation of hostilities and establish the framework for regional stability. Yet many of the voices who encouraged the early kinetic actions against Iran are now screeching because the bombs are on hold (for now), and on the flip side of the coin, the loudest voices for non-interventionism are repeating online vomit and half-truths to mock Trump for supposedly waving a white flag.
The goalposts for what defines success are constantly being moved.
Now it is time for a reality check on the way the world is, and why the deal is what it is:

The republic party in California should be unlimited.

Just like white gay boots Ron desantis is doing to the Democratic Party in florida, right.

Because they both can.

Why defend one and not the other fuckups?

Not much evidence Trump’s surrender “crippled” Iran. Seems to have been a massive strategic victory for them.

Copilot says 55% of normal traffic is available today, if ship owners actually chose to send their ships thru.
Tehran’s delegation, headed by the speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, walked away from the table on Sunday to protest a social media post from President Trump that threatened to resume American attacks on Iran if a deal did not come together. They eventually returned.

And in a negotiation that was supposed to resolve even thornier issues, the sides seemed to spend a lot of time working on topics that were meant to be behind them.

The 60-day window, which was established by the initial memorandum of understanding that Mr. Trump and Iran’s president signed last week, was meant to be a period for Tehran and Washington to solve crucial issues left out of that first-step deal. Most notably, that includes Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The memorandum says that Iran will dilute its existing stockpile of near-weapons-grade nuclear material but does not clarify how that will happen or whether the country will be barred from producing such material in the future.

Those issues were not center stage, aside from Mr. Vance’s mention of the I.A.E.A. inspectors, whose return would still be far from a solution to the nuclear question.

Instead, the first talks focused largely on two topics that were supposed to be settled: How to enforce a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and how to ensure shipping traffic, including oil tankers, flows freely again through the Strait of Hormuz.

The US is backstopping insurers. That excuse is gone.
Perhaps shipping companies would rather not have crew members killed if a tanker hits a mine even if they are financially compensated.
