One of the fallacious assertions this incredibly reckless endeavor of going to war with Iran is based on is..........Iran's leaders wanted to ensure the country's destruction and the deaths of a majority of its population by virtue of launching a nuclear attack.

Has Iran been a state sponsor of terrorism in the region, largely directed at Israel? Yes.
Is anyone outside of Iran desirous of it obtaining a nuclear weapon? No. Nuclear proliferation is dangerous on its face. Is it any more destabilizing for the region if it got a nuclear weapon than Israel's possession of one? Only if you believe Iran was going to use one offensively. Therefore, you have to believe Iran's leadership is suicidal.

Maybe what they have been after all along, going back to the JCPOA, is getting out from under economic sanctions. Is that possible?
