Trump Crippled Iran Without Giving Them Another Iraq …

So The Experts Moved The Goalposts And Called It Defeat

19 Jun 2026 ~~ By Capt. Seth Keshel

Longtime readers of Captain K’s Corner understand that I prefer to view the world as it is, rather than how I wish it would be. Do you remember last month, when everyone was salivating over polling showing two Republican candidates (Hilton and Bianco) atop the gubernatorial polls, with less than 15% each?
Oh wow, we’re gonna wind up with two Republican candidates for governor this year because there are too many Dems running!
Remember how I felt about that?

Eric Swalwell was clearly pushed out of the race from the Democrat side (by his own people) to prevent the dual-GOP scenario from happening. And then, even if all other machinations failed, the ballot counting machine would have taken as long as possible to ensure the party didn’t get locked out of running its own state. In the end, Steve Hilton made it to the General Election, and by less than 2 points over third-place candidate Tom Steyer – with roughly 83,000 ballots left to count nearly three weeks since Election Day.

An excerpt:
My admonition to all is to tune out the negative voices and the whiners who are trying to stop President Trump from advancing toward a deal. I had hopes the Iranian regime would be rooted out, but once again, it’s not America’s job to do the dying necessary, and without willing partners ready to put boots on ground while we remain at sea and in the air, it’s a non-starter. The best outcome, then, from this point forward looks like the rumored framework of the deal:
  • Strait of Hormuz immediately reopened with de-mining underway
  • Iran gives up uranium enrichment, hands over any stockpiles, and provides access to outside inspectors to ensure their end of the agreement is held up
  • Iran, pending satisfactory fulfillment of above points, gets a break on sanctions and an opportunity for the new chain of command to advance the nation’s standing in the world
Earlier this week, President Trump inked an agreement to bring about the cessation of hostilities and establish the framework for regional stability. Yet many of the voices who encouraged the early kinetic actions against Iran are now screeching because the bombs are on hold (for now), and on the flip side of the coin, the loudest voices for non-interventionism are repeating online vomit and half-truths to mock Trump for supposedly waving a white flag.
The goalposts for what defines success are constantly being moved.
Now it is time for a reality check on the way the world is, and why the deal is what it is:

This "war" is being run on Iran's timetable and under Iran's conditions.

All Trump can do is blow stuff up, which is what Iran planned for when it created its network of autonomous administrative groups.

Trump is now reduced to desperately threatening Iran's diplomats, which you just don't do.

Meanwhile, Iran is calmly maintaining its grip on a badly-needed oil supply for the entire planet.

If you think Iran is crippled and helpless, you are just terribly wrong. Ignorant. Hopeless. Worthless.

The only accurate portion of that post was “trump crippled”.

The blob himself said he demanded “unconditinal surrender”from Iran. The agreement he signed, if anything was closer to us unconditionally surrendering to them.

The blob established the goalposts. Nobody else.

Weren’t you saying ‘We should get out of this’?

Now you’re not happy he is….

America stopped Iran's nuclear weapons program, unlike the flawed and time limited JCPOA.
The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled, enriched material pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in Paragraph 7, with the minimum methodology to be down-blending on site under the supervision of the I.A.E.A. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear needs, based on the statutory framework being agreed upon in the final deal. The final deal will confirm the provisions of this paragraph. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran acknowledge the critical importance of the nuclear issues above mentioned, and express their intention to immediately address these issues in the negotiation in order to achieve mutual agreement on them.
This is the only paragraph of the agreement that deals directly with the nuclear program — the core cause of the war — and thus is perhaps the most important. As expected, it is vague on all the main points of contention. As the word “reaffirms” suggests, there is nothing new about Iran’s promise never to seek or buy a nuclear weapon. It first made that commitment in 1970, when it ratified the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and it repeated it in the opening paragraphs of the 2015 agreement with the Obama administration.

The paragraph requires Iran to “down-blend” — essentially dilute — the approximately 11 tons of enriched nuclear material in its possession, including 970 pounds that are enriched to 60 percent, just short of bomb grade. But it does not require Iran to give up that material and ship it out of the country. Iran has resisted calls to surrender the stockpile. But it did exactly that in 2015, when under the Obama deal it sent about 97 percent of Iran’s stockpile at the time to Russia.

That leaves a huge number of issues to be resolved in the next negotiation: whether Iran will keep the nuclear material, whether it will have to shutter all of its major nuclear facilities, whether it will be allowed to continue enriching new material, or suspend that work for something between 13 and 20 years.

trumples very much need for some sort of positive narrative to emerge from the spectacular foreign policy mistake of going to war with Iran after stupidly withdrawing from the JCPOA. While it is premature to come to any conclusions until the agreement is finalized, claiming the US has put a permanent end to Iran's nuclear program based on what we know thus far is a crock of shit.

The commies are not able to post a “good” thing ever done by Trump ever.

They are so brainwashed they go so far as NO ENEMY OF TRUMP CAN DO ANYTHING “BAD”.

These are the people who claimed AVENATTI, STORMY DANIELS LAWYERM SHOULD RUN FOR PRESIDENT.

HE IS NOW DOING TIME FOR FELONY FRAUD AND EXTORTION.

Paragraph 10

The United States of America undertakes that immediately upon the signing of this M.O.U., and until the termination of sanctions, U.S. Department of Treasury will issue waivers for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products and derivatives, and all associated services, including banking transactions, insurances, transportation, etc.
This clause in particular has triggered alarm among Iran hawks, who have asked why Mr. Trump would even partially relax sanctions on Iran’s oil industry, seemingly as a reward for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The United States would be “trading away its most durable economic lever before the hard part of the negotiation has even started,” wrote Miad Maleki, a senior fellow at the hawkish Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

Before the war the Strait was open and Iran's sale of oil was sanctioned.

After the war the Strait will be open and Iran's sale of oil will no longer be sanctioned.

The goalposts for what defines success are constantly being moved.
Now it is time for a reality check on the way the world is, and why the deal is what it is:

Cheeto Hitler dug himself into this hole.

First, he told his supporters that he wouldn't get us into another war.

Then he got us into another war, because Bibi convinced him all they had to do was drop a few bombs, and the Iranians would bring back the Shah and let us start exploiting their resources again.

When that didn't happen, and Iran found they could block the Strait with a few cheap drones, Trump agreed to a peace deal that essentially gave away the store.

No, the problem is Trump can't do anything right.

As much as I hate to cite either of the Bushes as a good example, 41 and 43 did this right when they went to war with Iraq in 91 and 03.

They built up an international coalition; they didn't go it alone.
They worked through the UN
They built up adequate forces in the region before striking.
They set clear goals of what they were trying to accomplish.

False flag post. Nice try MAGAt!
