Trump budget would slash rental aid by 40% — and let states fill the gap if they want

It made a declaration about its property ownership. I asked it a very easy question that any true property owner would know and it didn’t
What’s the question? I want to play REAL PROPERTY OWNER!

Those programs have been paid in for by seniors for 40 years. Let’s start with the charity programs, where single parents get thousands of dollars of benefits and haven’t paid in a cent.
It appears that the old warrior is covered in zinc and didn't hear that people pay into social security and Medicare for decades.

you ask a lot of questions and for the most part I ignore you.
twice a year
Escrow? the house is paid for. I own it. Never paid escrow, put a lot of money down on it. E-check, on-line payment.

If you are going to cut the safety line to those in need, maybe it is time to cut the subsidies to those making "billions" that really do not need it.
In two particular states, California and New York, you have the wealthiest and the poorest people. So let the wealthy of those states pay whatever the voters decide the must to help the poor.

If they really want to do it with federal dollars, let them simply find out how much the feds are providing in corporate welfare and other giveaways to the wealthy, and tax them by that amount.

The increase in the welfare dole will attract the very poor and the increase in taxes on the rich will repel the job providers. Those are not needed in states in which the main industry is applying for welfare benefits.

Sooner or later, California, New York and like minded states will realize they can only survive by becoming independent nations who can print their own money. We allow them to do so, and everyone's problem is solved.

Naaaaa……he’s just a leftist, which means he places no value on seniors.
When people are young they are very impressionable and believe almost anything they are told by those in authority. I am in the process of writing a book about how and why this is but it dates back to the days of cavemen who taught their young FEAR, which was needed for the human species to survive, without which they could be maimed or killed.

There are a few old warriors like Sanders and the fossils of the Demonic-rat party that still think the rich are taking THEIR money and if only they paid 90% of what they earn their lives would be great. So they make the youngsters fear and loathe the rich and successful as being the reason they (the deadbeats and underachievers) are where they are wallowing in self-pity and mediocrity.

So the youngsters such as you responded to fear that they will not be taken care of because there is not enough money and are told the rich make too much and we don't grab enough of it. This leads to death threats and attacks on Musk and Trump. The Demonic-rat tribe needs their scapegoats.

And what “ subsidies” would those be, moron?

states fill the gap...if they want

I get it. But why stop here. Why not end subsidies for "everything" ?

President Trump has repeatedly promised to "make America affordable again." But for those Americans most in need, his administration's latest budget plan would dramatically shrink the federal rental aid that helps keep millions of people housed.

In its request for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the White House called the current system of federal rental assistance "dysfunctional" and proposed essentially ending Section 8 and other housing voucher programs. Its plan calls for cutting rental aid by about 40% and sending that money to states "to design their own rental assistance programs based on their unique needs and preferences."

Why would taxpayers pay for someone else’s house?

Rent “relief” only inflates rental prices and creates the need for more relief in a self-perpetuating cycle.

I am fine if the Feds are cut back to the FBI, Treasury, military, and NOAA. that includes getting rid of Medicare and Social Security
.

Why should the federal government be responsible for rental aid? The states could probably do it better and more efficiently.

I agree. Get rid if all of it. MAGA states, being shitholes, are boned but thats just a positive.

Why cut out the two programs that retirees have paid into for 40 years, were depending on, and the loss of which they have no way to compensate for at their older age? Just let them starve? Die of an infection?

Instead, we cut out the welfare programs of able-bodied adults in their prime working years, and they can get jobs instead of living off of other people.

Enjoy the NPR brainwashing while you can. It will fail without government funding. See Air America.

Yes Billionaires need those tax breaks. **** the Poorz!
Man, are you deluded. Poor people can get jobs. You’re advocating to starve senior citizens by abolishing the Medicare and SS they’ve been paying into since the 1960s.

Crazy that you were actually a mod here.
