You question why a B-2 bomber can only carry two GBU-57's a total weight of 60,000 lbs/30 tons... Obviously the payload capacity is greater than the 40,000lbs, you listed.
If the B-2 payload was 40,000 lbs the B-2 would not be able to take off.

There were three ventilation shafts in Fordow.

I wondered about that. If you read The Dambusters on one mission later they bombed using Tallboys. One followed a shaft to a railway facility deep underground. The mess was cleaned up just in time for the US invasion. I doubt the Mullahs read Paul Brickhill.
