Trump Ballroom Unlikely To Be Built

Congress approved the Feds renovations.
No they did not. The $2.5b "renovation" is outrageous, its more than enough money to build a new nuclear powerplant. It looks like fraud to me. Most "renovations" are in the hundreds of $millions, not $billions.

They didnt submit a piece of shit eye sore though. Trump's not getting that terrible idea approved. Submit a reasonable and aesthetically consistent plan.
The new ballroom has all reviews and approvals needed to be built, except possibly congressional approval with no taxpayer money involved. I do wonder who is paying for the new secret facility under the ballroom.

Again, and again. Congress authorizes a budget (about $2.5 million per year) for normal repair, maintanence, and renovation. That isn't what Trump is doing.

He raized an entire building and is attempting to build something completely new. For that he needs to go to Congress.

Trump is renovating the White House without costing the public a dime. Critics should just shut up with all their whining and griping.

#1 If he doesn't want the whole world knowning about it, he failed. You just showed you know about it, are posting about it on an open forum, and therefore I think we can pretty much guess that the whole world knows about his "secert" underground bunker.

#2 So what? The law is clear, he needs Congressional approval and "he doesn't want to..." isn't an exception.

The law is not all that clear, but what do democrats care about the law? Do they not advocate blocking federal law enforcement officers from enforcing federal immigration laws?

Trump's action left a mud hole of scraps on the premisis with no path to fix. It is a characteristic of his administration. No plan. No ability to create consensus. Just an attempt to do it illegally his own way, damn the process, then blame others and watch lapdogs like you stick up for him when it failed... because he failed.
Weaponized democrat judges have no judicial mandate to turn the White House into a mud hole with no plan for going forward.

Or we just fill it in with dirt and grass and make a nice green area.

How does building a fascist ballroom "improve" the White House?
Democrats don't mind if Newsome spends more than $100 billion American taxpayer dollars on a rail project that will never be used but howl like banshees if Trump renovates the White House with private funding.

What exactly is a fascist ballroom?
Biden's inaugural ball was held in the Capitol Building West Front previously renovated by Obama. Future presidents may greatly appreciate and enjoy the new ballroom.

So what happens if congress doesn't approve Trump's new ballroom and secret bunker?
The House will, but the Senate won't.
Does he say "you either approve the plans or you are voting for an East Wing mud hole"

I love the "secret bunker" idea, except everyone knows about the "secret".

Until Congress approves construction, you have a "mud hole".

Since the building has alreasdy been torn down I doubt that it would be that difficult to approve a new building.

The law is very clear.

Did Obama get congressional approval before committing a billion US dollars to build his eyesore Obama library?

#1 There was no "billion US dollars"

#2 The Obama library is private property in Chicago, it's not US Government property in the District of Columbia. You know that under the Constitution (Article I, Section 8) the Congress is responsible for control of Washington, D.C.

Right?
