agencies to manage historic
properties under their jurisdiction or
control. Historic properties include
buildings, structures, districts, sites,
and objects included or eligible for
inclusion in the National Register of
Historic Places. Requires federal
agencies to consider the effects of
their actions, including ongoing
facility management, on such
properties, regardless of ownership
Chapter 33 of Subtitle II of Title
40 of the United States Code
(formerly the Public Buildings Act
of 1959, as amended) (40 U.S.C. §§
3301-3315). Provides that only the
Administrator of General Services
may construct public buildings,
including the repair and alteration of
