Who the hell in their right mind would call Limbaugh for a sensible conversation? Here is a man who makes his money talking nonsense day in day out. He contributes nothing to America, doesn't even drive an American car. Imagine another conversation:
Caller: I'd like to make millions like you, what is you do?
Rush: I have my scapegoat, it's democrats and progress and taxes.
Caller: Can I make lots of money too.
Rush: probably not, my brand of stereotyping and criticism has limits but who knows, try it.
Caller: So all you do is talk?
Rush: Yep.
Caller: Mom always said talk is cheap, do you do anything productive. Did you serve in the military?
Rush: Hell no, that's for others.
Caller: Oh.
Rush: Yep, I make millions, ain't America great?
Caller: But is there anything good for America that you do?
Rush: Yes, I criticize democrats, see that's good, right.
Caller: Sorry, that's too easy, good bye.
"Rush Limbaugh likes to call himself "the most dangerous man in America." He offers this epithet tongue in cheek on his radio program, but the truth is, he isn't kidding. Over the decade and more that Limbaugh has ruled America's talk-radio landscape, it has become inescapably clear that he is, if nothing else, certainly the most dangerous demagogue in America, maybe in history."
Rush, Newspeak and Fascism: An exegesis: I: Projecting Fascism
"Whomever in the broadcast industry gave the “Okay” to re-employ the theofascist, hysterical hard-right propagandist and clown, Rush Limbaugh for another eight years, at the cost of four hundred million, obviously did so, with the expectation that this overly pretentious shock-jock on the fringe of the political right, would certainly attract more income in advertisements, and induct even more brain-dead listeners into believing in his fantasy realm of an America dominated by his mentally deluded version of a society based on fascism and hardcore Christian values."
