Tom Homan spills the beans.

Great news that sanctuary status is ending. Keep the ball rolling!
Not a comment that addresses the issue of the DoJ entering in to an illegal quid pro quo agreement with Adams, objected to by numerous members of the DoJ, exposing Bove and Bondi as overtly corrupting influences on the DoJ.............all to please the boss.

He broke the law. Others have been convicted. Democrats go on and on and on about the illegal ownership of guns. The pardon was wrong and corrupt as all get out.

Now the Democrats have no soap box to stand on to condemn Trump.
You are welcome to that opinion. But if you think Biden pardoning Hunter compromises Dems standing to criticize trump, or is the moral or legal equivalent of trump pardoning hundreds of violent criminals who beat police officers, you are out of your mind.

You are welcome to that opinion.

It's not an opinion. He was convicted. But politics is nothing if not massively hypocritical.

Biden pardoned far more than Hunter but yes, you have no soap box to stand on.

We should be clear about the "gun crime" Hunter committed. He lied on the form required to be filled out to buy a gun. A gun that was disposed of within a few days by his girlfriend.

You are welcome to make the argument crimes such as these should be prosecuted more frequently as some Dems have.

But what you can't credibly say is the crime, based on an established track record of historical non prosecutions, was prosecuted for any other reason than politics.

Emil Bove, the #2 at the DoJ, went to a great deal of trouble denying anything untoward about the arrangement made with Mayor Eric Adams to drop the charges against him for wire fraud and bribery. Charges on which he had been indicted and for which a trial was pending in the spring.

Then Tom Homan, trump's immigration czar, went on TV and blew Emil's cover.

Homan: If Adams doesn’t ‘come through, I’ll be back in New York City’

Tom Homan, the border czar tasked with overseeing President Trump’s mass deportation plan, issued a stark warning to New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) on Friday if he doesn’t “come through” on enforcing immigration policies.

Homan and Adams made a joint appearance on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends,” after Adams agreed to allow federal immigration officials to operate at Rikers Island — a decision signaling a change in the Big Apple’s sanctuary city policies. The duo also vowed to work together to solve New York’s “migrant problem.”

“If he doesn’t come through, I’ll be back in New York City, and we will be sitting on the couch,” Homan told the Fox News panel, referring to the embattled mayor. “I’ll be in his office saying, ‘Where the hell is the agreement we came to? We’re going to deliver for the safety of the people of this city.'”

Agreement? Oh, he must have been talking about the agreement Hagan Scotten referred to in his resignation letter.

No system of ordered liberty can allow the Government to use the carrot of dismissing charges, or the stick of threatening to bring them again, to induce an elected official to support its policy objectives.

Yup, that's the one alright. The agreement that lead to 7 DoJ officials to resign.

In his letter to Danielle Sassoon demanding she drop the charges against Adams, Emil made no mention of prosecutorial misconduct or a lack of evidence against Adams to secure a guilty verdict. Because he knew neither were the case. The subtext of the letter stated, "the boss has coerced Adams in to doing his bidding in NYC on immigrants so let him go.........even though he's guilty."

Some have drawn parallels between this incident and the Watergate era Saturday Night Massacre. But there's a distinct difference. When Nixon ordered the Special Prosecutor investigating his case to be fired it was top level officials in the DoJ who told him to stuff it. This time around top level officials like Bove and Bondi have supplanted fidelity to their oath of office with any damn thing they are told to do by their boss. Someone with an intimate familiarity with breaking the law.
What is the problem?

Prosecutors drop the charges all the time for cooperative criminals

The moonbats figured out what "dismissed without prejudice" means....

We’ve always known what, “without prejudice” means. Those are the screws that Trumper is going to use to tighten on Adam’s if he doesn’t toe the line. If iTunes isn’t a good boy, the charges come back real fast.

I fully expect Governor Hochul to remove items from the office for having signed this agreement. Adams cannot violate the laws of the state of New York, no matter what Trump thinks of them.

This liberal whinefest is hilarious. The only thing that would appease these loons would be the lawlessness of ignoring our immigration laws. As they did for four years of Biden all the while robbing the people blind by redirecting tax dollars to pay for their illegal alien pets.

Best to ignore them while they wallow in their impotent rage.

WTF does Homan have to do with Adam’s legal issues? He doesn’t give a fuck about that. All he wants is NY to cooperate with ICE no matter who the mayor is or what other shit they have going on.

Biden deported more than Trump is.

If there was actual injustice involved in Adams' prosecution trump could have pardoned him. But the goal was to wield a cudgel against Eric knowing if he didn't step and fetch it to Don's satisfaction Adams would be facing charges again. The entire episode not only being illegal but insidious.

You just answered your own question. The more accurate answer being he just wants Adams to do what he's told without regard for the law.

Oh, I am well aware of all of that which is why I’m looking forward to the governor removing Adams from office.

Is that a joke? "Cooperative criminals" may help the prosecution enforce the law in return for leniency. In this case Adams is providing a rationale for not enforcing the law in return for policy sycophancy.

Discussions are underway but Hochul is taking a cautious approach. She may wait to see what Judge Ho does before deciding how to act.
