Time to Bomb Rocket Man

We hit them the soldiers will drop their weapons and surrender......these folks are starving and need liberated. China starts shit shut off all trade with them

And how are we supposed to pay for this war of yours?
Further cut food stamps. This will also make more people join the army. Heard you have a man shortage, particularly in the air force.

Our military has cut the standards for entrance requirements (can come in at 30 percent BF or less), as well as has enacted all sorts of enticements and bonuses to get people to enlist. And, they are still falling short of goals.

No, cutting food stamps won't have much effect on military enlistment. Besides, did you know that out of all the age eligible people in this country who could serve in the military, only about 30 percent of them are qualified?
You have aggressive recruitment and likewise aggressive "counter-recruitment". Both make the military not popular. When I was in the medical examination (they called me very late, I was way above 20), they already were on a rejection spree. (about 40 % before they suspended the service). I signed anything to get out of my bad situation but I was rejected as well. This included extended basic service and deployment abroad. They told me I can go study, lol.
But what is BF?

BF is Body Fat measurement. When I joined back in '82, you had to be at 23 percent or less body fat in order to enlist. Now? You can join at 30 percent body fat, which if you ask any doctor, is considered medically obese.

And, the military not being very popular doesn't have much to do with only 30 percent of age eligible people in this country are qualified to join. Most rejections are because of civil convictions, or because they have a physical problem.

North Korea still does not want to get with the program. Military action is required. South Korea better just get used to the fact that they are going to take some damage when war starts.

We don't need to bomb anyone. If they prepare a launch pad with a ballistic missile then take it out. Nothing more.

If it is just sitting on a launch pad, you can't know for sure if it has a nuke warhead or not, as well as don't know where it is going to go. Hitting it before it launches is considered an act of war, and there would be a huge outcry from the rest of the world if we did so.

If it did launch? We would have only around 3 min. to hit it with a missile before it is going too fast to be caught. And, in order to do that, there would have to be continual combat air patrols around the country 24/7.

You guys really don't know much about how the military operates, do you?

You can’t put a launch pad and missile site up if U.S. Marines are occupying that territory.

If Marines were to go invade N. Korea unprovoked (and no, a missile on a launch pad doesn't qualify), it would be considered an act of war and would piss off the rest of the world. China and Russia would probably take N. Korea's side.

Have you ever heard of the Geneva Conventions? Have you ever actually took time to investigate how things happen in the military for hostile action?

When we enter North Korea and feed people one good meal we will win their hearts and minds forever.

You don't know much about N. Korea then. They are indoctrinated from childhood to hate anything that is Western or American. In their textbooks, when doing math problems, they say if you kill three Americans, and then kill 4 more Americans, how many dead Americans do you have? Their indoctrination and propaganda over there against us is even worse than us against Russia during the Red Scare.
It will have no effect on their will. All people have a natural desire for freedom. Read John Locke.

“Unprovoked?” What has North Korea been doing for last 35 years?

Not when they have been indoctrinated to the level that N. Korea has been. Most of them support their leader Un, and hate Americans.

Now, if you were to say bring them to S. Korea and show them what western civilization is really like? You'd have a point. But currently, they don't know what they are missing out on.

What hostile military action have they taken against another country? That's right, nothing. A missile test, while provocative, isn't illegal. Same with their development of nuclear materials. It's provocative, and could possibly be used for bad things, but it's not worthy of declaring war.

Another cheerleader for North Korea.
Maybe you are just too hard-line to see that politics are a compilation of compromises. But you are advocating war on every country, anyway, so there is no difference at all. Trump demands NK to denuke within 2 years without holding out the prospect of anything concrete. Obama fooled them before. Be serious or watch the both Koreas clearing up without Washington.
You don’t compromise with madmen.
You call him madman, others call him commander of one of the largest and most powerful armies. He is there and and we have to deal with him. North Korea never threatened my country, by the way. I don´t see the issue here. If we help the country to overcome the food shortages, they only have 14 % farmland, the problems will disappear.
His army is not powerful. It’s built on parades and numbers. Troops can’t think for themselves and have 1960’s technology. Army doesn’t even have night vision for mass of troops. Pyongyang in a week.
The troops are trained to act totally independent. It is impossible to cut off their supplies. If you surround them, they won´t lack anything. They are also the architects of the tunnels in Vietnam. Their own tunnel systems are way more developed. Expect ambushes everywhere, unexpected troop movements, troops suddenly disappearing and appearing. Their old Migs will force enemy pilots into dogfights, while the range of targets on the ground is limited because of the underground systems. And of course, your soldiers have zero motivation.

And maybe, you don´t know that the US had to mobilize 30 % of the entire military to defeat Iraq. 40.000 air strikes in Iraq but the mountains and tunnels in Korea would limit their avail.

CNN.com - More U.S. troops, armor head to Iraq - Mar. 28, 2003
Troops are NOT trained to think on their own. Wrong decision and you go to concentration camp. They are poorly trained robots with poor equipment. Fuck Vietnam too. We won that war after Tet 1968...But LBJ turned pussy.

Trying to build a nuke and yes...missile test.

We beat the NVA and VC in every major battle, and lost the war because they would not give up.

Any more than would Washington and Greene who they were using as models for the communist military forces. As long as they had sanctuaries in Laos, Cambodia, and China for re-supply, retraining, and rest, the war would continue as long as the NV and southern rebels wanted it to continue.

The Koreans, North and South, are among the toughest soldiers in the world.

Big fucking deal. Grade school textbooks don’t count when your looking down the tube of an M-1 Abrams tank.

You went from one good meal to an M-1 Abrams tank. By the way, if we sent tanks into N. Korea without being attacked first, it would be considered an act of war and the rest of the world would denounce us.

But back to the original point. Your first post said that all it would take is one good meal. Now? You're moving the goalposts and suggesting threats with a tank.
