Thunderbirds

I used to drive a 1979 or maybe '78 Thunderbird. One very cold winter morning I went out, brushed the snow off of it, started it up and turned on the heater to let it warm up and melt the ice off the windows. Then I went back into my house to finish my breakfast. I looked out the window and saw my Thunderbird backing down my driveway. Then heard a crash. I figured that some kids on their way to school saw the car running and tried to steal it and take it for a joyride.

But when I ran out there to see what happened there was nobody in my car and no footprints in the snow coming from it either.

The cop who showed up to take the crash report cited the lady who hit it because she admitted that she was going way over the speed limit in a school zone.

And the cop informed me that a lot of those Fords from that era will jump out of gear and they had several incidents of the police Crown Vics that were in park jumping into reverse.

Who doesn't love Thunderbirds?
