This country is in deep trouble

After reading the threads on the Iraq war and the lib myths that came with it, I had no idea we were this far gone until now
we won the war in Iraq and to try and re gain the political capital that Obama had 30 months ago there are some people on this message board that the truth means nothing

its pure desperation and it the very thing the terrorist want us to be doing

we have well over 10% real UE
we are in debt so far we are now just printing money, we stopped borrowing it
we are done in IRAQ and all you hear about it on this message board is what a failure it was

i AM AT A LOSE FOR WORDS
HOW DID WE GET HERE PEOPLE?

The women of Iraq used to be able to wear western style clothes. They could teach, be engineers, lawyers. Now they are forced to wear burkas. They can't leave the house without an escort from a male relative. They can't have a job and they don't get health care. In fact, many are talking drugs because their lives have been destroyed and they have no future.

Please explain how enslaving half a country is a "win". I really want to know.

"The women of Iraq used to be able to wear western style clothes. They could teach, be engineers, lawyers. Now they are forced to wear burkas"

The same could be said of women in Egypt and Turkey.
As far as I know, we didn't invade those countries, are we to blame for their slide back toward the dark ages as well?

Well of all things for the left to grasp onto now with this is that the same man that killed 1 million Iraqis allowed women to wear western style cloths
It just keeps getting better

What the Iraqi people do with there country now that they vote for those people tp represent them is there business, even if inclues women

Well the ones of us who spent wisely and avoided the debt trap are for sure the minority.

That small minority is taking it in the ass on inflation, while the irresponsible reap the rewards of having their debt devalued along with the governments.

Soon it just wont be worth it to work anymore.

America repeatedly spends far more on healthcare than any other nation in the world but still has approximately 50 million people uninsured. Unlike most of the other nations on the list, it does not have a universal, public healthcare system.

Based on the "capitalist model," private competition should be keeping US healthcare costs low and Americans should be receiving equal or better quality care at the lowest possible price. Based on current per capita costs, why isn't every American receiving the "Cadillac" of all healthcare systems?

Maybe its because our so called 'free market' isnt really that free? Maybe its the influence of the 'unlimited funding' by medicare and medicaid? Why should the market realign with real wages and real ability to pay when we have so many systems holding the bubble up?

People just dont realize that when you cut government influence on the markets prices will come down to match peoples ability to buy. Its that simple, especially with health care.

That is one piss poor bit of illogic.

The pure "capitalist model" is pure pubcrappe...savage capitalism is for the elitist megarich pubs and silly dupes...

Well I see BHO style of socialism is working
hard work had nothing to do with being an elitist

If you become "megarich" usually no-one gave that to you

I know it is. To judge the events of Iraq without being there makes no sense to me either. I do know they vote and they are allowed to hold office
these are what we call facts. The rest of it just made its appearance when the lib media realized we had won

Its the people who champion unfettered markets and free walks for the wealthy that have been eroding the peoples beliefs in capitalism.

Its your fault people are turning away from it

Sharp Drop in American Enthusiasm for Free Market, Poll Shows - World Public Opinion

April 6, 2011
American public support for the free market economy has dropped sharply in the past year, and is now lower than in China, according to a GlobeScan poll released today.

The findings, drawn from 12,884 interviews across 25 countries, show that there has been a sharp fall in the number of Americans who think that the free market economy is the best economic system for the future.

When GlobeScan began tracking views in 2002, four in five Americans (80%) saw the free market as the best economic system for the future--the highest level of support among tracking countries. Support started to fall away in the following years and recovered slightly after the financial crisis in 2007/8, but has plummeted since 2009, falling 15 points in a year so that fewer than three in five (59%) now see free market capitalism as the best system for the future.

Guess you'll just have to accept that the warmongering quasi-fascist goose-stepping authoritarian militarized nation you dream of is going to remain a dream, at least for now.
I believe the Question to ask....regarding our Future....is.....

What does Mark Zuckerberg think??!!!!

Once Facebook goes HEAVY-DUTY COMMERCIAL, the Koch Brothers will be BEGGING to wipe Mark Zuckerberg's ass!!!!

Change is STILL COMIN'!!!!!!

(....And, there isn't a DAMNED thing "conservatives"/Republicans can do, ABOUT it!!!)

Hardly surprising after nearly 3 years of constant haranguing by the Obama Admin that many people are somewhat disenchanted with capitalism. I notice there was no mention of what economic system would be the best one for the future if FMC is replaced.

Obama spending 4 trillion dolars we did not have did what to help the free market?
Yes it kept for 1-2 years many union jobs in the public sector, now its gone
The wall street bailou cost us 0 except AIG, Fannie and Freddie

Loss of faith in capitalism is not the doing of Obama. It's the doing of capitalism. We're seeing it because of the misbehavior of the banking industry. There's no need to look for other causes.

I do not think this is anything more than an attempt to re-elect Obama. The free market is fine, the economy needs a leader that understands what it is going to take to turn this mess around

Spending 4 trillion dollars we did not have was not it
Bailing out state, local, as well as other sectors that have legacy cost as there issues that have them in the shape there in was not an item that did any-one any good except the UAW
