seriously, we've seen investigations utilized for partisan purposes for quite some time , none of which come to fruition.

we've also elected a wall st CEO for potus, does it occur to anyone this ilk is raft with collusion ,that's how they roll?

That particular tactic produced 10 separate investigations into the same event, 6 were led by Republicans, and they all came up with the same result of no intentional wrong doing. but that didn't stop the investigators. They went on, and on, and on for years. How can we not follow such an honored tradition? It's our duty.

Obviously, they can’t pass new leftwing legislation, but what they can do is impede Trump’s attempt at governing. They can also investigate Trump by having control over so many investigative bodies. Based on constitutional precedent, they can demand an investigation into Trump’s tax returns. Trump will obviously pull out all the stops to try and prevent this, but it won’t stop the legislative push that the news media will inevitably cover. Trump’s paranoia over legal action is already well established, but now that democrats have more power to challenge Trump legally, he will completely lose his goddamn mind before 2020.

I really hope the House demonrats spend their time investigating Trump and trying to get his tax returns. After 2 years of that nonsense with no meaningful legislation, the people will toss them out.

The smartest thing the Dems can do to create havoc is to act like intelligent, reasonable, dignified, thoughtful adults. To respectfully but strongly advocate for the issues that are important to their constituents. To offer concrete ideas and strategies and promote them loudly and clearly to the public for future use, when they have more seats.

Such behavior would make Trump and the GOP look foolish in simple contrast.

But no, the Dems are more likely to get down in the mud with Trump and continue the embarrassing circus that is his presidency. Why? Because it appears that we as a country have lost the capacity for anything else. It appears that skills like respect, dignity and honesty are like muscles - use it or lose it.
