Actually a private sale to a foreign state has to go through the state department. It isn't an individual buyer and seller but seller and foreign government. Several sales of intellectual property to the PRCC was stopped by the state department during the Clinton years¹

Trump is NOT the "most investigated person on earth". That would be the Clintons.
ALL of the Clinton investigations were of rumours Republicans made up about the Clintons, including the rumour they killed Vince Foster.
The problem for the Trump Cult is that people waited until Trump committed crimes, and then investigated what had actually happened, instead of investigating rumours they made up about Trump.
Last but not least, it's not Democrats who are accusing Trump, it's his own staffers and the people he hired who are testifying against him. Republicans are prosecuting Trump. His own people have turned on him.
