The lies, lies, and more lies continue. With a $100 trillion dollars in spending at stake, the propaganda must continue, the propaganda must scare the children, the propaganda must give the children nightmares so that the brave democrats can save our souls from the evil that we have created.

The latest, oh my god! Is Thewaites glacier, melting, about to cause a tidal wave seen only in Godzilla movies. Yet, the truth is, there are volcanos and geothermal hot-spots underneath the glacier, melting it naturally.

The truth, the facts, are rather boring compared to the Democrats screaming like a bunch of frenzied demons.

Scientists have known for years that subglacial volcanoes and other geothermal “hotspots” are contributing to the melting of the Thwaites Glacier. Why did the BBC fail to mention these facts in its recent report?

And it seems, the research is much different than the reporting

I have emailed Professor Hongju Yu and asked him about the apparent disconnect between his study’s conclusions and the statements attributed to him in the media. If he responds, I’ll either add it to Comments or the main body of the essay.
Despite repeated assertions of Antarctic ice melt and glacier collapse, the sea level record does not show discernible effects – global sea levels still rising at their centuries long 2-3 mm per year as the Earth climate warms from the Little Ice Age.
The study of the Antarctic is a valid scientific endeavor – but not if its only purpose is to attempt to raise more and more alarm about climate change.

Non-morons -- that is, those who aren't denier cult imbeciles -- would note that there's been vulcanism there for millions of years, so the vulcanism can't be responsible for recent warming.

That is, unless the vulcanism had suddenly massively increased. And there's no evidence for that. But these are deniers, who believe everything purely on faith. They want it to be true, so they literally don't care that there's no evidence that it's true.

Who said it was? Where?

Or are you imagining things again?

So you have evidence that the vulcanism there is brand new? Well then, please present it.

Also, try running the numbers. See just how much vulcanism would be required for that kind of temperature increase. It's truly massive.

I haven't seen anyone claim that vulcanism is causing global warming.
I certainly haven't. Why would I look for evidence of something I never claimed?

According to Mrs. Elektra, in the original post, that is what is driving the Thwaites Ice Shelf breakup. But he presents zero evidence of that. There was a press conference at the latest AGU conference on this very subject, and the scientists laid out a very concerning report and the evidence for this report.

for millions of years the volcano under thewaites has been erupting? Can you even prove that for millions of years this Glacier has existed?

You should get lost with your tired old crybaby rant. "you are cult denying imbeciles". Everything that is counter to your hope and belief in Global Warming is automatically dismissed with your tired, overly repeated, rant that everyone is a denier.

Yes, you believe purely on faith, you are the one that wants, man made global warming to exist, with no evidence.

I present evidence that there is volcanic activity melting your menacing glacier, you dismiss it as not true? Yet, it is publicized everywhere, most likely it is acknowledged by any scientist that you would cite studying this glacier. So how about humoring us with something more than your tired rant, that everyone is a denier, but the denier who's point is always, moot, maMOOT.

So how about you stop lying about what the scientists are saying. Nobody at the AGU conference brought up the volcano, as it is not even relevant to what is happening at the Thwaites glacier. Amazing, to ignoramuses, volcanoes, even active ones, are not that good at melting glaciers. There is a glacier growing inside of the crater of Mount St. Helens, even as that volcano builds a lava dome inside it's crater;

how about quoting Old Crock, how about the name of the researcher, the scientist, how about proving you have read your source, most times you do not read what you post and it ends up embarrassing yourself. So how about giving us a quote and comment on what you found relevant in your link.

using google like a deck of cards, using google as if it is your memory and you have revealed a fact simply by presenting a link is so moronic.

Quote from your link and comment, moron!

Why is it the democrats fault? They never did anything to the glacier nor caused flu ate change.
Do all republicans think it's false or just idiots like you? Grow up dickhead

Wayyyy more heat from the adjacent volcanoes than the imaginary heat trapped in the deep ocean

that is your answer to thewaites and the pine glaciers? St Helen?

Good, I take you for your word, you are stating that there is a volcano under the ice, same as in Oregon we have volcanoes under thewaites and pine island glaciers.

Fact, there is a volcano under the glacier.

The significance of the melting of the Thwaites and the adjacent Pine Island glaciers is acknowledged as is the potential influence of warm water at the coast. However, the BBC’s latest report (and here) does not mention an important fact that is widely known and that it and others have reported previously – the influence of active volcanoes beneath the glacier.

Man, you really are one dumb fuck. I gave you a link to scientists doing their presentations on the Thwaites glacier at last weeks American Geophysical Union convention. If you are too fucking lazy to click on it, and listen, I am not going to baby sit you. I posted a picture of a glacier in the crater of an active volcano, cheek and jowl with a glacier. The Thwaites is 60 miles wide, do you honestly think that it would have any affect on the ice shelf?

Are there volcanoes under the antarctic or is this something I thought up myself and made my own .gov website to spread my propaganda?

While the effects of volcanic heat on the Antarctic ice sheets is an active topic of research, this study provides the first geochemical evidence of a contemporary volcanic heat source, emphasizing the need to detect and understand volcanism, including in models of ice-sheet behavior. The greater understanding of volcanism could alter scientists' perception of the mechanics of ice-sheet loss, including in the areas where the glaciers meet the sea.

"Our finding of a substantial heat source beneath a major WAIS glacier highlights the need to understand subglacial volcanism, its interaction with the marine margins and its potential role in the future stability of the WAIS,” they write in the Nature Communications article.

They also note that vo

quit being a lazy liar, quote and comment,

you posted a picture, wow old crock, a picture, wow, and how far below the surface is the magma in that pic?

You do know, that the glacier on ST Helens melts and recrystallizes? Correct

It appears that Old Crock does not know that the glacier on St Helens melts from the heat underneath, from the volcano

Melting and recrystalization of snow and ice surviving on Mount St. Helens could cause and lubricate mudflows and generate outburst floods. Study of glaciers that remain on this active volcano may assist in recognizing potential hazards on other volcanoes and lead to new contributions to knowledge of the transient response of glaciers to changes in mass balance or geometry
