These fuel prices are ridiculous

The Keystone XL was strictly an EXPORT pipeline to benefit the Chinese owners of Canadian tarsands to take advantage of the tax status of the Free Trade zone. NONE of that product would benefit American consumers.
Upgrading capacity could enable dual capacity. It may be expensive, but it would be more environmentally friendly and could be more market frienldy.

30 cent increase in just one week for gas and what is Biden doing.....pushing green energy.
Then yesterday our local news said we should expect a nearly 50% increase in our natural gas bills.
To make matters worse our local gas taxes also went up.

All told my fuel costs will increase by well over a thousand dollars if not close to 2k per year under Biden.

Thanks Brandon
Wtf does Biden have to do with your local taxes going up...or general gasoline price increases for that matter?

Do you just have that politico hammer and everything looks like a nail to you?

LOLOL.. Do you know anything about the oil business or what drives it?

Ah, I see the troll farm's mod buddy must be online, since they're stalking me like a little pathetic tard. lol. Can't think up another troll thread for the Religion forum again?

Some refineries process some of it, it just doesn't yeild much in the way of transportation fuel, as I already pointed out.

When I got here in the late 70's Texas was still Democrat. I think it was just as influenced by oil then as it is now.

Of course last year when oil sold at one point for negative dollars there was a drop in drilling. Now with oil over 80 not only is the rig count up but exploration is ramping up as well. When a production well is shut off, there is no guarantee that it will start flowing again without drilling a new hole. They shutoff 3 million barrels a day worth of producing wells by may of last year. Getting those fields producing that much again is not as easy as turning them off.

Yes. The rig count dropped down to some 300. Now it has almost doubled since last November or so. Very few flowing wells at the current drilling depths; so they are nearly all pumped these days, so it's not that hard to get them going again. New reserves are another story. Only so much left in the ground. They drove down prices for reason, mainly to punish competition and generate a market for natural gas overseas. Several major ports built huge natural gas storage facilities over the Trump term, like Singapore, not just Euros.

About 1/3 would have ended up in the US. Even lefty Politifact says you are lying.

Nope.. Trump doesn't know either. Tarsands sell for $29 a barrel. Its really heavy, thick and corrosive.. Won't flow thru a pipeline unless it is diluted with light crude.

The reason for the pipeline to the Gulf is to take advantage of the lack of US taxes if and when it is shipped overseas. They can't sell it in the US and make a prophet and still take advantage of the Free Trade Zone. You aren't capable of learning anything, are you?

All US wells are pumped .. They are very small producing wells.. Most are under 50 barrels a day.. so they can't afford gas injection to keep the pressure up. That's why you have the unsightly rocker pumps.

Europeans haven't invested in infrastructure to recieve US natural gas which is very expensive compared to natural gas from Russia and the Stans.

Typical socialist wants the government controlling everything. It’s market forces.

You should not use facts with DudleySmith. He doesn't like nor believe them ;).

Keystone has excess pipeline capacity all over the Midwest.. unused capacity.. They want more profit and no US taxes so an export pipeline to the FreeTrade zone is all that.

The consequence of the pandemic that should have been brought under control this summer.

That didn’t happen because of the right’s unwarranted opposition to masks and vaccines.

Since they are so devoted to Trump he should have encouraged his people to get the vaccine and take precautions.. He and his family were vaccinated.

No matter who was President gas prices would have gone up. The demand worldwide is increasing rapidly and the supplies are dwindling. OPEC is the main reason prices have gone up so much, they have slowed production to artificially inflate prices. They know in about 35 to 40 years their oil will be depleted, they're trying to get the biggest bang for their buck while they still can.

You wouldn't know, you think Somethingorother 'Energy Institute' is some sort of unbiased source. Hate to break it to you, but the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, MSN, and calculators that use the Fed's CPI are garbage for stats. You need a subscription to better sources, like SeekingAlpha or ShadowStats, and some halfway decent business news outlet.
