These fuel prices are ridiculous

30 cent increase in just one week for gas and what is Biden doing.....pushing green energy.
Then yesterday our local news said we should expect a nearly 50% increase in our natural gas bills.
To make matters worse our local gas taxes also went up.

All told my fuel costs will increase by well over a thousand dollars if not close to 2k per year under Biden.

Thanks Brandon

You need OPECs phone number asshole?

And just so you know, American oil companies are sitting on 13.9 million acres of public lands that you and I own, that the orange traitor just gave them to drill on.

You need their phone numbers to dipshit?

You done? My grandson doesn't even stomp his feet like that.

When you have a solution feel free to share it.

Biden begged opec to produce more. Instead he should take his boot off of our oil industry's neck.

US oil production has been down since Bidens election. 8 to 10% in 2020 and still down in 2021.
We are relying on opec rather than ourselves.

U.S. oil production is 1,2000,000 per day higher in October than it was in January. It's 800000 bls. higher than October of last year.

Oil compnaies are rolling in cash and the stockholders want the diviends and not reinvestment in drilling. This isn't a secret; they say so publicly and often. They also want diversified investments in other energy sources. Since the Democrats' new Bill is offering a trillion or so in corporate welfare for big 'green energy' scams, you can of course blame that part on Democrats, but not 'lower oil production', since production isn't lower.

The oil industry cut production in the middle of the pandemic. By May 2020, months before the election, the US has shuttered 30% of it production. Now that demand is back up, the rig count has nearly doubled.

The U.S. rig count currently stands at 533, which is 264 more than this time last year.

those low gas prices have trump written all over them.

Prtices are skyrocketing in North Carolina... It's now $3.25/gal.. Last week it was $3.05/gal. Thank you Joey Xi. Before he took office it was $1.89/gal.
Graph of your interest in North Carolina gas prices since that post:

Gasoline prices are symptomatic of the real issue which is diesel prices.

Diesel just hit $5/gal.

And with freight prices becoming increasingly important and higher....it's gonna be really important soon.

Diesel is the fuel that transports everything....rail, truck, and shipping consumes 70% of fuel. That means diesel.
Private vehicles only consume roughly 30% of petroleum products used....commercial traffic consumes the rest.

Currently flatbed tractor trailer rates spiked due to used excess capacity....it's no longer excess capacity. Freight is moving.

I remember when a brother-in-law of mine proudly displayed his new diesel truck years ago, bragging about the simplicity of the engine, so little to break down and at how cheap the fuel was.

Everyone bought into diesel. Then the prices skyrocketed.

Higher prices in.EVERYTHING !

Higher prices in.EVERYTHING !
Well yes,
But transportation costs are just a tiny fraction of a retail price....taxes are a MUCH larger amount. Usually around 30-40%.

I've already ys said we pay just as many ch on taxes as the rest of the world , if not more and get very little for it. No health care , no retirement funds , little public transportation , etc
Etc.

And to think,
We started a revolution over King George wanting 10% taxes...because somehow George thought himself equally deserving to God in his portion of taxes.

OH if we could ever go back!

Did your brother-in-law happen to have voted for Trump??

At the same time no one would want to go back to all that ignorance and disease. We have made major improvements to life . Let's fix what we can in the correct way and we'll be fine. Money doesn't answer everything.

The Revolution wasn’t started because they thought taxes were too high. They were started because the founding fathers thought they shouldn’t be taxed without representation. They said if we’re gonna be taxed, we’re going to consent to it by voting.

the founding fathers taxed tea harder than King George did. That’s the clearest possible confirmation that the Revolution was about representation, not tax burden. Once they controlled the legislature, they taxed freely.
