Let me break the news to you. Politicians set policy....
The 16 or 17 year olds are questioning that policy, which if I remeber properly they are fully entitled to do...

Why do you want to silence young people entering public discussion... How many kids have been killed by public discussion...

because many of them have no logical set up in life. their experiences in such things are throttled by adults. Therefore, i have no desire to listen to anything they have to say unless it is in my family circle, not national. They have no idea every probability that may exist for 300+ Americans. Why send them to school at all if they are that knowledgeable?

Just because someone is not old enough to vote doesn’t take from him his right to petition the government for a redress of grievances, or to otherwise communicate with elected representatives.

And elected officials are at liberty to take into consideration the concerns of minors with regard to decisions of law and public policy.

That this has to be explained to conservatives is further evidence of the right’s collective stupidity.

Why not make it a tiered licensing requirement. That you have to be 18 years old to drink, 18 years old to drive, 18 years old to buy a gun. But not all at the same time. You have to chose only one. Then when you turn 21, you can add a second option, and by the time you turn 25, you can have all three.

This way you have to be at least 21 to be a drunk driver, by which point you've either been drinking or driving for three years.

Agreed... Do we then give people who turn 65 they have to give up one, another at 70 and another at 75.....

why hasn't this been an option until now? why were we ok with killing them in wars and you can't respect that today?
