The youth: Is 18 to young to buy a gun?

Kids can get life or the death penalty in this country for serious crimes like kidnapping, carjacking, or murder! :1041: :aargh:

Good.

But committing crimes and violating the rights of other citizens is a different subject. We're talking about the rights, privileges and responsibilities of every citizen. Not citizens who chose to infringe on the rights of others. A completely different subject
BTW, I agree with death to drug dealers.

Which makes little to no sense when it's a victimless crime making it more a problem trying to restrict use! Make it legal like drinking and moderate it's use! Ruining people's lives for smoking a joint is just plain stupid and in my day the stigma of any drug use got you canned from jobs, whole professions, and even living accommodations! Anything dealing with children is the only crime I have no sympathy for the perpetrator! I don't want to hear "I couldn't help myself!" :1041: :14: :agree:
never going to happen, heroin will never be legal. ever. More people die due to drugs than anything else.

Stats show in other countries that drug use actually went down when they were legalized! My favorite country is The Netherlands, and Amsterdam in particular that allowed people to make their own decisions to use or not to use and overdoses went drastically down due to legalization! :113: :2cents: :agree:
isn't ever going to happen here. doesn't in China either.

I was trying to stay with you on this one, but what does "be responsible for serious crimes" mean in your list? You're saying that's legal or illegal or what?

The problem is that heroin laws do nothing about stopping heroin. They just fund organized crime, destabilize countries across the globe from Columbia to Afghanistan, turn our cities into shooting zones, empower government to pry into every aspect of our financial lives.

It's insane to pass a law that has nothing but bad impacts while doing zero to solve the problem

There is more to that though. The pin heads were put on display for the public to see. Americans have no stomach for that and wont put up with it. Weed is one thing, black tar herowin and meth are another all together.

drop a few dealers and I bet that changes.

Kids seem to have regressed in the last twenty years. Perhaps no guns, voting or booze until 21. I might make an exception for a young person with a job and a home under 21.

The way I see it, you can't make kids more responsible than past generations since they've become more dependent and are staying in the home for extended periods until almost 30! How do we make them responsible for much of anything that's a victimless crime? :1041: :71: :agree:

Put them out on their ass so they have to work. Fixed!

And we're having epidemics of ODs while they are illegal. How's that working for you?

The left should go ahead and ban all guns

That way the only ones that will have them are criminals and right wingers, either way they are screwed.

Dumbasses don't realize the only reason they aren't being slaughtered by their masters is that gunowners in the US have made it difficult.

They do still get slaughtered, but they're so stupid they don't realize who is behind it. Such is the lot of the Useful Idiot.

Or one who denies simple facts. You can’t blame any of this on one single thing. One has to look at the whole.

In liberal Austin Texas they prefer bombs it seems. I reckon it is viewed as more civil.

Shrug.

You and people like you NEED to learn that your government is not going to be able to keep you safe. Your safety lies on your own self.

I don't have any problems with modernizing an old system though. However, these are issues that should be left up to individual states and how much do they feel is worth putting into this type of endeavor. This is not under the jurisdiction of the feds.

Under that premise everyone has to been armed all the time... Where is the right to be not armed and still be safe?

We are talking about a school full of adolescent kids... Do you see it that there has to be armed protection at all times?

People have a right to feel safe with out a gun in there hand.. Europe has this..

So these kids would have to carry a gun to school because 'Your safety lies on your own self. '....

There is no such right. That is why the police show up AFTER a crime to sort it out and punish the bad guy. By that time, it is too late for you or your loved ones. Why do you want to put such an important thing (your own safety) in the government's hands? Are you really this complacent with the government?

These kids asked how are how can they be safe going to school? I think your premise is that responsible kids should be arming themselves when going to school...

But if they only have a hand gun and a multiple guys enter with AR-15s, should they not have AR-15s as well (with all the accessories)....

What age should these kids get the guns to protect themselves?
who owns power if a man with a gun walks into a school that has no man with a gun?

Cowboy Ted would be waiting for government to come and protect him while they wait outside for the shooting to be over so then can come in safely and draw a line around his body

You mean like the President

Um ... Trump supports my right to protect myself with a gun. You don't. So your point?

You mean like the four Broward county deputies who went to save the shooting victims, who you disarmed, from the shooter who directed traffic and set up a perimeter?

OMG, that was risky of them. And the pour souls had to wait for the shooter to finish killing people while they listened to the shots. It must have been heart wrenching

And who said you couldn't...

Reasonable gun laws doesn't mean no guns... Actually I said that leveraging computers can make the whole process quicker and safer...
