After 1917, there were approximately 1,500 pogroms against Jews in Russia, primarily during the Russian Civil War from 1918 to 1920, resulting in an estimated 35,000 to 250,000 deaths. These pogroms were widespread, particularly in Ukraine and southern Belarus.
