While winning is everything and spiking the ball to gloat is an end for the Left as they tell themselves they are such victims that they thirst so much to "get even," conservatives really just want to live and let live and are perfectly happy to leave others to their own ablutions hoping and assuming in the process that others will do the same for us out of an equal sense of fairness, but they never do.
