How Trump was convinced into the Iran debacle

Think about this. JD Vance is flying to Pakistan to get us out of a mess that did not exist 6 weeks ago. Donald Trump created the mess. And what did America achieve? Nothing. In fact, now Iran has asserted full control of Hormuz. Now every other country has to pay them to pass through. That's going to keep oil prices high. Trump really f'ed up.

I would be scared if I were JD. How many Arabs has Trump taken out at airports? An Iranian General? Didn't we bomb a general while he was waiting in a long Iraqi TSA line in the Baghdad airport? Didn't we take out their SUPREME LEADER? I'll say this. JD got some balls. No personality. God help us. But balls.

That "mess" has existed for 47 years, and President Trump is fixing it.

The only thing trump can fix is the mess he created. Remember the straights of Hormuz were already open 7 weeks ago. Don’t call it a win when they re open. That’s just fixing the mess of your own doing. Fail!

Trump is and has always been a low IQ moron.
His intellect is so far superior to yours it's laughable.
Watch this.
You might actually learn something for a change instead of just spitting out Leftist propaganda.
By the way, Weinstein is (was) a liberal and an intellectual. He's a whole lot smarter than you too.

I’ll give a synopsis.

Netanyahu shows up at the White House with the head of the Mossad. They give a presentation to Trump and his advisors, which include Hegseth, Radcliffe and Rubio.

“In the Situation Room on Feb. 11, Mr. Netanyahu made a hard sell, suggesting that Iran was ripe for regime change and expressing the belief that a joint U.S.-Israeli mission could finally bring an end to the Islamic Republic.

At one point, the Israelis played for Mr. Trump a brief video that included a montage of potential new leaders who could take over the country if the hard-line government fell. Among those featured was Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last shah, now a Washington-based dissident who had tried to position himself as a secular leader who could shepherd Iran toward a post-theocratic government.

Mr. Netanyahu and his team outlined conditions they portrayed as pointing to near-certain victory: Iran’s ballistic missile program could be destroyed in a few weeks. The regime would be so weakened that it could not choke off the Strait of Hormuz, and the likelihood that Iran would land blows against U.S. interests in neighboring countries was assessed as minimal.

Besides, Mossad’s intelligence indicated that street protests inside Iran would begin again and — with the impetus of the Israeli spy agency helping to foment riots and rebellion — an intense bombing campaign could foster the conditions for the Iranian opposition to overthrow the regime. The Israelis also raised the prospect of Iranian Kurdish fighters crossing the border from Iraq to open a ground front in the northwest, further stretching the regime’s forces and accelerating its collapse.“

After the meeting Radcliffe called Netanyahu’s plan “farcical” and Rubio called it “bullshit.”

The two who bought into it hook, line and sinker were the two biggest idiots in the Trump Administration.

You guessed it: Hegseth and Trump himself.

Vance was against the War:

“In front of his colleagues, Mr. Vance warned Mr. Trump that a war against Iran could cause regional chaos and untold numbers of casualties. It could also break apart Mr. Trump’s political coalition and would be seen as a betrayal by many voters who had bought into the promise of no new wars.

Mr. Vance raised other concerns, too. As vice president, he was aware of the scope of America’s munitions problem. A war against a regime with enormous will for survival could leave the United States in a far worse position to fight conflicts for some years.”

One other interesting point made in the article is that Trump was always a war hawk, even in his first term. It was his generals and advisors that kept him in check. This time though there was some initial opposition to this War all his advisors fell into place like good little sycophants, Radcliffe and Rubio, among them. Vance though kept his opposition to the war known to Trump.

I suspect that Vance and Radcliffe may have leaked this information because they want to distance themselves from the Iran clusterf***.
One thing you failed to mention was that if Israel attacked Iran all by themselves with no US help, then Iran was going to shoot missiles in every direction, including US interests, just as they did anyway. Trump decided if Iran was going to attack us anyway, even if we hadn't attacked them, then we should just attack Iran anyway and be part of it. This doesn't even take into account Iran WAS working on a nuclear program which would lead to a nuclear bomb and at some point would have the ballistic missiles to reach the US. So, better to deal with Iran now rather than at that point.
